How can we improve the KACE GO App?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Allow custom fields based upon select queries.

    We have a required custom field listing locations that gets its values using a query select statement. This field does not appear in the queue on the GO app so we are unable to create tickets. If we make the field not required, it still doesn't appear but tickets can be created.

    I've attached a pdf file containing our select statement.

      The ability to see and edit the asset record attached to the computer record from within the mobile app

          When clicking on the submitter currently we have to scroll through the entire user list. it would be nice to have a search field.

          • Allow us to move tickets from one queue to another

            Currently you can't move a ticket between queues, and our ticketing system completely relies on that (tier 1, tier 2, etc).

              This feature is available in version 2.3 which is currently available for Android and will be available for iOS this week.

            • Change colour in tickets

              Colour is showing as bright lime green. Very hard to read against white background. This should either be changed to an easier to read colour, or option to change the colour yourself.

              • Link computer Inventory from Tickets

                When clicking on the computer in the ticket, it would be nice to be sent to that computer and not just to change the computer. Same with Users.

                • k1000 mobile - enable Submitter field and add Script tab

                  Can we enable the Submitter field? There are times that we are submitting in behalf of the user and this field is greyed out.

                  I use Script more that Managed Install. Can we add this feature?

                    Thanks for your suggestion. Editing the submitter field is now enabled in K1000 GO 2.1.

                  • Ticket attachments area

                    Currently ticket attachments are contained within the call history, this would be better displayed within an seperate area so you can see and open all attachments from one place.

                    The history should then show where the attachment was added and a link to the relivent attachement.

                      In the recently released v2.3, we’ve added an option to filter the Comment list on a ticket to only display those comments with attachments.

                    • Fix the email address for "Report a Problem"

                      The email for "Report a Problem" in the main menu of the app is "support@kace.com." When I report a problem to this email address, I get a message back telling me that the email address is no longer valid.

                        I can't find a way to add to a comment once the comment field is no longer active, but the ticket hasn't yet been saved. I try tapping on the text of the comment I just made, and nothing happens. I don't see any other way to do it.

                                • Honor the queue setup ticket delete option

                                  Currently the K1000 GO mobile app allows you to delete tickets even if the queue configuration does not allow it. The mobile app should honor all queue configuration options.

                                  • Allow users to access K1000 Go

                                    Allow users to access K1000 go. This app works great for admin use but I have a lot of users who would find this beneficial to be able to put in a ticket from their phone or tablet. Seems like this would be fairly easy to do. Basically restrict parts of the app to the users and grant full access to admins.

                                      This has been implemented in our v2.0 release, now available on both app stores. Note that you need to be running K1000 v6.0 in order for this to work. This K1000 release will be available shortly.

                                        To bad you can't see attached files (px. pictures and screenshots) in tickets and kb-articles.
