How can we improve the KACE GO App?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

  1. iPhone X resolution support with FaceID authentication

    The app just got updated on 11/15/17 but did not come with iPhone X resolution support. It would also be nice to have FaceID authentication after I have logged in once manually.

  2. Filter tickets

    Please add a way to filter the tickets. This would be beneficial to see what tickets are open by location or by user making it easier for techs to know what all needs to be done while at a remote site.

    Ideas for it:
    Something similar to the advanced search on the SMA
    Saved queries as custom views. Even if the custom view could be created on the SMA and made available on the GO app would be good.

  3. Users with Admin or Limited Admin's rights within the KACE GO app need the ability to view ALL categories

    Users with Administrator or Limited Administrator's rights within the KACE GO app need the ability to view ALL categories - NOT strictly the "User Settable". We have end-user categories and we have more specific categories only my admin users can see when assigning and/or closing tickets. My admin user's need the ability to view ALL ticket categories. I opened a Quest ticket and was informed this wasn't an option - program defect and would be worked on in future releases. See attached screen shot for reference.   7. Scan a barcode to create a ticket for that device

    Have the ability for users to scan a device via barcode scanner and create a ticket for that device. This should work on all asset types.

  8. Copy/Paste device info

    Sometimes I need to get the serial number/service tag, or computer name, or IP address from a device inventory item for another app. It would be very beneficial to be able and copy/paste a 10-15+ long digit instead of by hand.

  9. Using KACE Go attach an image directly to an Asset

    Open and asset in the KACE GO App and take a picture of the device, which attaches directly to the asset.

  11. a print function in the Android K1000 Go App

    I have Android KitKat 4.4.4, and with the free app 'Lets Print Droid,' I have the ability to print to windows and cups network printers. It would be nice if K1000 Go App had a print function so that I could print tickets from my phone.

  12. View Device Created date on K1000 Go

    I'd like to see original date a Device checked (created) in to the K1000, this is my method of verification a new device(PC or Mac) assigned to a user has checked in. Only 4 fields are available on the K1000 go app: Name-OS-User-Last Sync.

  13. inventory

    On the App on my iphone I could see all inventory, I have since switched to an android phone and only 30 items show in inventory, I have uninstalled and reinstalled, still only 30 items show. I have 168 inventoried items and the search does not work to find them.

    An option that stops K1000 from communicating with a certain group of computers while they are off campus., however they still get the updates when they are connected to the local network.

  15. Remove ability to edit asset types in app

    Remove the ability to click the arrow in the circle next to an asset field to modify that asset type. This shouldn't be available on the app and has led to inadvertent modification by field techs. Streamline the app to only allow the asset info to be changed, not the asset type itself.

  16. Devices Change

    In KACE you can go to Inventory > Devices, then choose your device and if there are any changes under category like software you can click on Changes. This would be a great help when i go to a Users desk and pull the changes they have made on my phone to trouble shoot the issue.

  17. Button for New Ticket Department selection instead of Drop Down

    A more visually pleasing appearance for non technical users. Using a button for each department when creating a new help desk ticket instead of a dropdown pick list

  18. Kace 1000 Ticket Information

    Currently Kace 1000 Helpdesk tickets will display under submitter :

    email
    Work Phone
    Mobile Phone
    Location

    However KBox pulls more information from LDAP such as Department and Title for example. I would like to see these as hard fields and not as select fields as with the current submitter area. Attached is current submitter sample and the contact sample.

  19. Bar code Integration for external laser reader

    The integrated K1 GO barcode reader feature is a great addition to the product and has been something we've long since needed.

    However, those who need an enterprise solution for scanning 100's of devices at a time need a device that can scan much faster, and the camera reader just isn't fast enough for some.
    What I am requesting is the ability for the K1 GO app to link up to an external bar code reader device, like this one for example:

  20. Emergency Controls for the K1000 mobile

    The K1000 mobile it designed for Kbox administrators, it would be nice to have an emergency page. The ability to restart server or tether Kace to the appliance, start or update ticket, that way an administrator would know that he had Kace support in his pocket when ever he needed them.
