Managed Installation Notification Message
How can I modify the configuration file for MI notification message? For example, I would like to add additional button called "Cancel" to the notification messages of MI. Also, the finish button should be replaced with the OK button from initial message.

Managed Install
The message alert with Managed Install is confusing and needs to be changed.
I am currently setting a Managed Install for Internet Explorer 11, and I am only using the Notify "Alert user before run" setting only, and I put a message in to say Internet Explorer 11 will be installed. Please not a reboot will be required after the installation is complete.
I also selected Timeout "60" minutes, and Action "Install later"
The ISSUE I see is that the message that pops up for the manage install process is that it starts with
"Snooze Duration"Why is it saying…

Allow script to be entered in Managed Install
It would be good if you could pick a Kace script to run before or after a Managed Install as part of the actual Managed Install procedure instead of a script being a completely separate section.

windows store for business
It would be good to have support for the Windows Store for Business so the Kace can tell that store to install approved apps on devices.

Importing inventory into manual labels
We often target specific computers based upon user or computer name. Lists are provided to us by project teams for targeting during release (since the project team is targeting communications to specific groups of users).
Whereas manual labels can be assigned to individual inventory records, and; whereas we have we have a defined standard to identify a department based upon computername, and; whereas we could use a process external to KACE to place a breadcrumb on the machine that then gets swept up as custom inventory to identify department, none of these are desirable.
We'd like the ability to create…

Exclude a machine from getting a Managed Install
I would like the ability to prevent a machine from getting a MI, without creating a new label.
Example: I have our whole library in a group. All machines in the library need Software X. However, Software X conflicts with Software Y that is on our main circulation desk machine. This means I need a whole separate label that excludes that one machine. I would like to just say, within the MI, "Apply to this label, EXCEPT Machine Z".
I hope this makes sense what I'm asking. Thanks.

Managed Installation minimum version / don't downgrade
It would be great if a Managed Installation could be told to only install if the software was older than a certain version.
Eg, Firefox 32 comes out, I have a Managed Install for 31. I have to disable that or if I install 32 on some machines for testing the Kace will downgrade the machine.13 votes -
K1000 Software Library for Mac & Auto-Filtering
Any end-users would like to be empowered to use K1000 software library for installing any software on either Windows or Mac system without required admin privilege. I found that K1000 software library supports only Windows. K1000 software library needs to support Mac, too.
In addition, the auto filter depending on what machine they are running needs to be added to K1000 software library. For example, end-user is logged onto Mac system, then, K1000 software library needs to provide only Mac apps by auto-filtering.

Stage Package Installation on Clients
When a user has a laptop and primarily works remotely the option to install a package before user logon does not work since the user logs in before a VPN connection is established. This results in some managed installations never installing as the K1000 does not stage packages for installation at a later time on the client. If we could have this feature added that would be helpful in managing the software on remote access clients.

Bypass snooze if no one is logged on to PC
Currently, if no one is logged in to the PC, a Managed Install with a Snooze will fail. It would be nice if the client UI was just bypassed altogether in this case and the managed install allowed to proceed as if the user either ignored the prompt or selected Install Now. This behavior is what one would typically expect if they chose "Install Now" as the timeout option.

Add a Ninite-like library of commonly used software
Ninite provides a consistent interface for installing some of our most commonly used free software. Software like Firefox, Flash, Java, etc. can be installed with the same consistent switches every time, and Ninite takes care of making sure it has the most up-to-date version. That way, instead of having to prepare fresh Java packages every few days we could simply choose to keep that software up to date.
This kind of functionality would go a long way toward making KACE easy to get up and running to manage essential software.

Monitoring software installs for users
Monitoring downloads for users not just IT distributers. There needs to be a means of those requesting downloads to be able to see that a download of software is in progress (other than saying it has been requested, which can sometimes last weeks). Some clear indicator of more specific percentage status is needed so the user knows that there is genuine progress happening. This would be incredibly useful and would also help take some pressure off of the IT department needing to look into this which special access permissions for each instance.

Managed Installations - Status
I'd also like to better bulk edit for status. Currently you can enable/disable this changes the execution to either "Disabled" or "Anytime" I'd like to be able to choose any of the execution options.

I think that the search needs improvement. I'd like to be able to search by Execution.

Add integration with AutoPKG for Mac application deployment ease.
https://github.com/autopkg/autopkg is a tool for software distribution packages on macOS. It has the ability to notify and pre-package application for re-distribution. Within the tool various output recipes can be built. KACE should build one of these for Managed Installs that would enable the packages to be imported into the K1000 or K2000 as KPKG files.

Grant Run Now permission to users for managed installations without giving Write/Delete permission
In terms of support, we have some helpdesk employees who have restricted access to the K1000 admin portal. In case a software deployment fails, they should be able to restart the managed installation, which is usually done by selecting the "Run Now" button inside the managed installation. By giving the permission "Write" for managed installation, the users have access to features which they shouldn't be able to use, like i.e. the "Delete" button.

MI that runs a KScript
Would like to be able to access cool script features (such as 'run as' for adding settings to appdata) from within an MI, and particularly from the self service portal. Would make managing pre-reqs and software with user profiles much easier.
