Asset permissions based on type
It would be nice to be able to create a custom asset type and assign management of that asset to user labels. For instance, if I have fleet vehicles and would like to give management of those assets to our fleet department, I could create a user label for the fleet department and grant that label permissions to manage the asset types related to the fleet assets.

Allow items to be marked as in storage and have the KACE agent license removed but keep all information about the device in assets.
When items are sitting on a shelf in storage it would be nice to remove the agent as it is not being used and to also still be able to see the previously inventoried items similar to what you can see after you archive a device. This helps techs know what's on the shelves and if they can be re-purposed or need to be upgraded before reuse.

Add multiple items to "Purchases"
I would like to be able to assign multiple assets to a single "Purchase". That way when we buy consumables / Hardware / etc... we can add the entire purchase to one PO rather than generating a PO for every item.

Ability to map the user (owner) of an asset to the asset when importing
When importing a csv file of assets, I need to be able to assign that asset to an existing user. To do this manually is very tedious and time consuming.

We would like to suggest allowing the Kace Agent to show the asset type for servers instead of only computers.
Currently our servers are showing with the asset type Computer under Assets.
We had to create a sub-type called Server in order to differentiate the computer from the server.1 vote -
Smart labels for assets
I would like to see smart labels for assets that are not devices. This will make filtering and reporting a lot easier for customers that use asset management in large environments

View by > No Subtype
Add the option for viewing inventory items that do not have a subtype. The Advanced Search seems to not have the ability to filter out devices with a subtype using the built in operators including RegEx. At least it doesn't in Inventory.

The ability to delete built-in asset subtypes.
New in v 9, they provide built-in subtypes for printers. We don't asset tag printers so we don't need those subtypes, but I'm not able to delete them or even edit them to remove the printer-specific fields to make it usable.

KACE should have the OOTB ability to search assets using various different asset attributes
KACE should have the OOTB ability to search assets by various different attributes, for e.g. Serial#, Host name, User name, asset tag, etc. in the Asset Management module.

Update KACE GO app to only show the modules that are purchased
We purchased KACE for Asset Management, however when logged into the KACE GO mobile app, it shows the other modules also for e.g. Service Desk, Monitoring Alerts, Create ticket, etc. These modules should be hidden instead of grayed out.

When machines are P2V, delete firmware updates in DB

We have machines that have been converted from physical to virtual machines in hyperv. When these machines were converted, they had outstanding firmware updates available. The machine inventory no longer shows the dell updates as being available. However, the firmware widget and the dell updates reports still show these firmwares as being available, because the data has not been removed from the DB.
I feel the firmware update data should be removed from the database when system model = virtual machine, as the machine is no longer physical.

I would like to see the hardcoded "Assigned To" field available for every asset type for easier searching
Computers have a hard coded "Assigned To" field that populates the last user that logged in. All other assets don't have this field so when searching it creates discrepencies. I'd like an "Assigned To" field that can be searched for all devices.
As of now, if I search for a users name under "All assets" it only returns the PC
If I search the users name under "monitors" it returns their 2 monitors.I would like a search under "All Assets" to return both the computer AND the monitors.

Restrict users to only view there assigned computers
It would be good if there is the ability to restrict users to only view there assigned computers in inventory view and in asset view. Furthermore only have the ability to change values for the assigned computers.

Ability to Update asset status via KACE GO mobile app
There seems to be no way to update (or view) an asset's status in the Kace Go mobile app. This field also is missing from 'Create Asset.'
Although I'm fairly certain this was there in previous versions, I was directed to a feature request. This seems like it should be one of the most basic features for Asset Management via the mobile app.

Ability to import existing data into new KACE fields
For example, the Asset Status field that was recently introduced, we have been using our own custom field for this purpose and now cannot remove the built in field from an asset record, we should have the ability to transfer our data from the existing field to the new one or the ability to export and then import to the new field.

Asset import templates
The ability to create a template which has field mappings set up would streamline the import asset process and reduce the chance of error in selecting the wrong field to map, for example prior to imaging with the K2000 we import new devices into our K1000 for naming etc. As each spreadsheet is from a separate school there are many identical imports, having a pre-determined template would save a lot of time.

Allow Inherited fields to be "Required"
I would like to have the option to make Inherited Fields such as location and Cost/Profit "Required". I'm forced to use a custom field which then places (2) "location" and "Cost/Profit" fields in the asset.

SIgn-off form for new equipment and then for return
When an employee comes to a company, we keep a form to sign off on receiving of equipment. Would be nice to do this on the KACE. Then when a termination occurs, to sign off on the return of it maybe send the user an email for their records. That would be a big key to asset management.

undo archive assets
IDEA:
Add Option to undo an asset from Archive, so it is edible again.Idea was made because of this problem:
We made the assets automatically archive themselves, if the device (its kbot) does not report for a period of time, then comes a 2 week of pending, where it is possible to undo the pending, but as soon as the pending is over and the asset is archived, it is no longer possibe to do anyting except changing the Kace-premade funktions (like changing the location, status, …) nor to undo the archiveNow i have alot of assets with…
