Ability to run Custom Inventory Rule on a selected group of computers
If a Custom Inventory Rule is generated in Software it is possible to specify the operating system that gets this rule. But it would also be useful to specify a label with the computers that should run that rule.

License Compliance module change for Server 2016
Microsoft server 2016 is now licensed per core and you can buy a minimum 8 cores when you buy a license for Server 2016. In Microsoft volume license center you see quantity of 8. So If you buy a server with 6 cores the K1000 needs to know to use 6 cores of your 8 core license leaving 2 cores left to use for another server. If this change isn't made you will have to do manual calculations to figure out if you are compliant.

Locations - Ability to Sort "View By:" "Locations" view
Would like the ability to alphabetically sort the list of locations displayed when selecting "View By" and "Locations" from the Assets menu. The list is currently sorted by order entered, or asset unique ID. We have over 100 locations and it makes it very cumbersome to scroll through the list every time. A search field option would also help with this issue.

Give Options to Remove or Toggle off required fields in Assets
I have items in the devices the licences that have fields implemented by the developer. Most of these I do not use and do not want to. It also confuses other members of my team that try to create new items and see all of these unnecessary fields. I also feel this way about location since it has permeated all assets. Can we please have an option to remove these completely or remove them from the new item and item editing view?

Please correct Apple & Microsoft "System Name" discrepancy
As it happens, there is a discrepancy between how Kace manages Apple and Microsoft "System Names:"
On a Windows machine, the "System Name" which Kace pulls in is truly the "System Name" on the device itself. This is really a computer-friendly hostname and any human-readable names are relegated to the "Description" field of the device.
HOWEVER, on an Apple machine, the "System Name" that Kace pulls down is actually the Mac's human-readable "Computer Name." The Mac's true system name is actually the HostName (or actually, in most cases, the LocalHostName). These true system names do not seem to appear anywhere…3 votes -
"BIOS release date changed" is logged continuously
A message is logged continuously in the device change history that the BIOS release date changed. Since this is only one change, it should be logged only once, not continuously.

Upload barcode image into Kace with Kace Go
As an admin, along with the ability to scan barcodes, I would like to be able to upload a picture of the asset's barcode image to the asset record directly from the app.

Attach from cloud based storage
I think it would be awesome to be able attach files from cloud based storage to assets.
How we manage assets we typicaly get a quote, save it as a PDF, then get a PO which is also anothe PDF. Eventually we get a PDF of the actualy invoice and another PDF of the packing slip.
We try to make this a single PDF, so it would be cool to just have an attachment feature allowing you to automatically link a file from a cloud storage service just by searching for the file name. Then we wouldn't have to delete…

In the assets -> devices can you make it so the status field can be set to required?
The new status field is great, can we have a checkbox to make this a required field? People add new assets and dont set the status is killing the point of asset management.

Category Field in the Contract Asset Type K1000
In Asset Management one of the types is "Contracts" the default contract categories are Contract-Software, COntract-Other, and Contract Hardware. I want to add another category of contracts and when I duplicated the Contract Software I found that I could not change the Category field. And the duplicated Contract was not part of the Contract Category. I would find it very useful to be able to change that category for that asset type.

local users
It would be fine to inventory local useres and groups of a device, to see what users have local admin rights to this mashine. It works with custom inventory rule but is not as nice as if it would be directly integrated.

Print/create asset barcode
Ability to create an asset tag with barcode so that assets can be physically tagged and tracked in the Kace environment.

Add Errors to Asset Import Failures
Include an entry-by-entry error that explains why an Asset Import from CSV failed (or include the ability to export one).
I currently import upwards of 300 assets at a time into K1000 from csv and when a dozen succeed but 288 fail I'd like to see why, especially when they all have identical fields mapped. For example, if the asset is assigned a Location that can't be found in the K1000, put another (error) column on the output saying 'Location not found' against the attempted asset uploaded.
Even better would be the ability to upload the Assets anyway, missing out…

Asset - Option to disable asset auto creation when a machine performs inventory
Customers should be able to control the asset creation for machines when the agent performs inventory, as it can be a little bit complicated to manage if you deploy the agent by GPO

Customer wants to use the asset management for logistics.
Customer has a few default items which are given to the users like headphones, cables etc.
To keep in track of the items they want to have the option to scan it with the Go App (or search manually) and being able to choose how many parts are taken from stock so the amount is always trackable.If possible also a function when the stock amount drops below a treshhold that an email can be sent.
This is all possible via custom ticket rules but should be possible for the default usage.3 votes -
Software version search should be limited in one software title
Currently when creating a label targeting computers with software "abc" that has a version "ddd", K1000 searches "abc" in all software titles, and searches "ddd" in all software versions, which is fundamentally wrong, and may give unexpected false positive. It should only search "ddd" in the versions of the software with title "abc".

Perminence of selections in Check Boxes (NOT reuqire holding CTRL)
When, for example we have a license instance that is applied to 10 machines, in the software license management, you specify the machines you need the license to be aligned to, however I have 200 machines and a scroll box with 10 visible lines. To select multiple items, I have to hold CTRL, and scroll up and tick the boxes. If I let go of control, and press a check box, I loose all the other selections.
This is especially annoying if I am trying to edit such an item, say a user leaves and the license is to aligned…

Ability to set the default view
Would like the ability for a service desk tech to set the default view of the assets page to a specific asset type or Active items rather than All items upon opening.

When importing a CSV to the assets, if the date fields are empty, do not import them, since right now it will show a negative date
Importing a CSV with assets that happen to have blank date fields will generate the dates as 1/1/-001 0:00. It would be cleaner if that entry remains blank after import or it sets up a wildcard date like 1/1/1980 for example.
