Ability to automatically assign an asset to a location based on IP address range.
It would be nice to have the ability to apply IP address ranges to a location so it'll automatically pull in all assets in that range.

Add multiple items to "Purchases"
I would like to be able to assign multiple assets to a single "Purchase". That way when we buy consumables / Hardware / etc... we can add the entire purchase to one PO rather than generating a PO for every item.

Allow me to access inventory across organizations
We are an MSP and we use different orgs to keep track of inventory for our clients. for simplicity how ever we use a single "main" org for ticketing, so our techs dont have to jump back and forth between orgs to pull tickets. the issue is this prevents use form assigning a clients assets (computers and so on) to a ticket. It be great if we could access the assets in one org for a ticket in another.

Reason for reboot on patching for Windows Server Shutdown Event Tracker
It would be excellent if the KACE Agent would log the reason for the reboot on Windows Server machines. Even if it just told the Shutdown event tracker that the KACE Agent rebooted, it would prevent the popup when I log into the server and would make my event log pretty. I believe this could be done very easily if the KACE agent calls shutdown.exe on the Windows machines.

Ability to Update asset status via KACE GO mobile app
There seems to be no way to update (or view) an asset's status in the Kace Go mobile app. This field also is missing from 'Create Asset.'
Although I'm fairly certain this was there in previous versions, I was directed to a feature request. This seems like it should be one of the most basic features for Asset Management via the mobile app.

QR code generate and show it as item of an asset
Dear Thorsten,
KACE K1000 request : option to generate a QR-code and show it on screen when you look to the asset information
QR code should be build based on some selected fields from an asset ( for example – name – location – … ) ?
This would be a VERY BIG NICE FEATURE !

Custom Inventory - add support for brackets to allow ANDs and ORs in the order I need them
Currently using both ANDs and ORs in the same custom inventory rule is unsupported according to the documentation. I was told that they are evaluated from left to right rather than using the normal rules of precedence. This would be particularly handy when you are trying to detect a program whose file might be in more than one location (especially c:\program files\ and c:\program files (x86)).

License Compliance module change for Server 2016
Microsoft server 2016 is now licensed per core and you can buy a minimum 8 cores when you buy a license for Server 2016. In Microsoft volume license center you see quantity of 8. So If you buy a server with 6 cores the K1000 needs to know to use 6 cores of your 8 core license leaving 2 cores left to use for another server. If this change isn't made you will have to do manual calculations to figure out if you are compliant.

undo archive assets
IDEA:
Add Option to undo an asset from Archive, so it is edible again.Idea was made because of this problem:
We made the assets automatically archive themselves, if the device (its kbot) does not report for a period of time, then comes a 2 week of pending, where it is possible to undo the pending, but as soon as the pending is over and the asset is archived, it is no longer possibe to do anyting except changing the Kace-premade funktions (like changing the location, status, …) nor to undo the archiveNow i have alot of assets with…

Ability to sync labels with LDAP for computers with nested OU's
Ability to sync the k1000 with AD to allow it to automatically create label groups & labels for a nested structure..
e.g.:
DOMAIN FOREST
-> Locations OU
-> Location A
-> Hallway A
-> Room 2
-> Staff

Offline export of Software Catalog
The Software Catalog is regularly updated from Dell, but there is no mechanism to export the catalog from an online K1000 to and offline K1000 like there is for patches. Either a separate export/import mechanism for the Software Catalog, or making it part of the patch transport is needed.

Category Field in the Contract Asset Type K1000
In Asset Management one of the types is "Contracts" the default contract categories are Contract-Software, COntract-Other, and Contract Hardware. I want to add another category of contracts and when I duplicated the Contract Software I found that I could not change the Category field. And the duplicated Contract was not part of the Contract Category. I would find it very useful to be able to change that category for that asset type.

SIgn-off form for new equipment and then for return
When an employee comes to a company, we keep a form to sign off on receiving of equipment. Would be nice to do this on the KACE. Then when a termination occurs, to sign off on the return of it maybe send the user an email for their records. That would be a big key to asset management.

Ability to import existing data into new KACE fields
For example, the Asset Status field that was recently introduced, we have been using our own custom field for this purpose and now cannot remove the built in field from an asset record, we should have the ability to transfer our data from the existing field to the new one or the ability to export and then import to the new field.

Searching custom asset fields
When you are adding custom asset fields in the asset types. You are unable to search the added asset fields nor are you able to add them to the asset/categories.
You are adding Assets Fields to an asset type. You proceed to asset management section, you aren't able to add the new fields to be able search with in assets.

Configuration Management and CMDB
Since KACE SMA contains most of our assets, I was wondering if there could be a new module for the management of Configuration Items as part of the Configuration Management Process. This will allow to go further in the asset management and simplify change deployment.
This new module should allow to create a CMDB, which goal is to :
- Define Configuration Items with customizable linked attributes (Requirements, support, status, version, etc...)
- Define dependancies relation between Configuration Items
- If a change is required, be able to display every dependancies from a Configuration Item in order to identify risks…10 votes -
Asset Change History displayed for each Asset on their Details page
What we'd really like to see is a running list of changes made by my staff (not including agent reported data) to any of our custom defined fields for our assets, preferably located at the bottom of each asset's "details" page underneath the Service Desk Ticket and Related Asset information.
Say for instance I go into an asset several months down the road and change a “Physical Location” field of a PC from one office to another. I'd like to have these types of changes logged at the bottom of the asset page instead of included in the "Show All…

Print/create asset barcode
Ability to create an asset tag with barcode so that assets can be physically tagged and tracked in the Kace environment.

In the assets -> devices can you make it so the status field can be set to required?
The new status field is great, can we have a checkbox to make this a required field? People add new assets and dont set the status is killing the point of asset management.
