  1. K1000 report query builder is junk

    Previously sent to support: Hello I have resolved the issue, but not happy with KACE query builder it’s a piece of junk and needs to be updated. For example if you want to pull a report on a field where field is NULL it pulls no rows. THERE IS NO ZERO LENGTH STRING OPTION IN THE QUERY BUILDER. I had to edit the where clause sql in the report to pull only rows were date (surplus date) = ""

    I have substantial background using Mysql, but if someone did not have my skills they would never get it to work.…

  2. Modify Charlie Root Emails

    We need the ability to be able to change the Charlie Root emails. I would like to change the name, frequency, and what is being reported. Having multiple daily emails saying everything is OK is not efficient.

  3. Helpdesk reporting

    Make helpdesk reporting provide actual valuable data, like totla hours worked per technician. Maybe make the reporting GUI be somewhat useful and provide any of the actual fields needed. Perhaps actually support the reporting side of things as there is currently not really any.

  5. Include 32/64-bit in Software Inventory

    PARTICULARLY with the release of macOS Catalina, which no longer supports 32-bit apps, we would really like a means of identifying which 32-bit apps are installed on our user's computers. This should be added to Software Inventory so that reports can be run that accurately reflect our 32 vs 64-bit install base. It's such a simple detail, please add this in a future release. And soon! Since we've already had a number of users requesting to upgrade.

  6. Reports by asset type and location

    Allow the wizard to create a report by location for each asset type. For example I have several asset types. Devices, Mobile Devices, Printers, Network equipment, etc... For each of these asset types i would like to show which location they are at. The report is limited per asset type. The view for assets can show all assets by location but you can't add additional columns for users, serial number, model, etc. You also can't create a label for assets to use for reports.

  7. API calls from system account

    It would be ideal on org-enabled SMAs if we had the ability to make API calls at a system level using a system account rather than having to use an org account to pull data from each individual org.

  8. Have an out-of-box report that captures the systems in Pending Reboot state

    Have a out-of-box report for Windows System State is "pending Reboot" that is not tied to the Patching status of a device. I think this would require multiple Custom Inventories to properly search Registry for all the areas where "pending reboot" could be indicated

  9. Cached Reporting

    I think it would be useful for the reporting system to create a cached copy that can be linked to in an email notification so that I am not loading up our exchange server with report files every time a scheduled report runs. The notification sends out that the report is ready and the user receiving the notification can click a link in the email and go to the readied report in either a selectable or preselected (during creation of schedule/notification) format.

  10. Patching Snooze Report for agents/machines

    Please add a report that can show how many times a user snoozed the patch job. This can come in handy when a user complains about issues on the machine who refused to do the updates.

    Report Schedules are missing the ability to create a schedule that runs every other week or a custom week schedule. It can be achieved using a high level crontab string. But the end user does not have the ability to use that custom string in the Custom option while creating the Reporting Job.

  15. Reporting - Definition of the CSV output file

    My use case was:
    I need an inventory report for the billing of licenses for our customers.
    Unfortunately the billing software only reads CSV files with the following definition:
    - semicolon separated (default is comma seperated)
    - UTF8 (default is )
    - only text fields are between quotation marks (default is all fields are between quotation marks)

    After my unsuccessful searching for an option to define the creation of a Reporting CSV file I contacted the support and I was told that there is no option to define the CSV output file. I was recommended to leave demand here.

    It is so frustrating that anytime a custom report is built, it is not exportable to a .xls format that is sortable. If I want a list of all PC's with the Dell Ship Date give it to me with each system AND ship date on a single row of data.     Hello Bill,

    When using the wizard, there is no option to add clauses or commands like "Alter Table", "RENAME COLUMN" or "AS" to rename a column on syntax, the best option will be to create this report using the SQL option which gives you more flexibility to create a customized query as desired.

    This might also be a good enhancement for the KACE SMA Reporting module, feel free to submit this idea in our KACE UserVoice portal https://kace.uservoice.com/ so it might get included in a future releases.

    To get SAM Certified by Microsoft, it's needed to fill in a specific excel-template called Clead Inventory Data Contract (CIDC). Microsoft won't accept any other format. It would be great if the K1000 had a built in CIDC-Report, that fills in all data it can provide directly into the according field in that specific template.
    I think this woul be useful for many organization, because as of now it is the only way to get SAM-Certified.
