Add label names to the report wizard
When creating reports, I frequently want to use labels to gather data about machines which only exist at a certain location(s) in our enterprise. Currently this is a huge pain, requiring manual SQL editing because there is no option to filter to machines which have a certain label otherwise.

Service Desk: Set attachment as required
Upon using Dell Kace ticketing for job requests, attachment was not rarely used by the submitters. The Service desk must view at the real requests of the submitters.

Add option to disable task skipped task pop up
I opened a ticket and was told that the 11.1 update included an "enhancement" that added a skip task notification. If you're going to add a notification you need to an option to disable it too! My end users don't need to know if a task was skipped and all it did was cause more tickets to my helpdesk. Please add an option to disable this "enhancement". Thanks.

We have heard your voices and understand that for many, this message proved to be disruptive. As such, we disabled this notification in our 12.0 release and will look at adding it back as an optional setting as part of a future release.

Display K1000 License Number
I was told by Dell Kace support that a new requirement is to provide the technician with the Dell Kace license number for support. He also told me that this cannot be retrieved from the device. In light of the high turnover rate of Administrator, this information should be viewable in the "About K1000" window with the serial number. It would save a lot of time and arguing with technical support.

Increase character limit for Initial Message in Scripting
It would be nice if we could get an increased character limit for the Initial Message window that's used to notify users before an Online Script is ran. It is currently much shorter than most message windows that can be created throughout the SMA.

Support for 2 NICs, each on separate networks
I need to place my KACE on a DMZ, with 1 NIC on a "private" network and 1 NIC on a "public" network. I do not have the ability to do port forwarding or NAT. I need to have it support local assets and remote.

More Customization for User Portal
I would like to see more customization options of the User portal, would be nice to be able to organize the software in groups or folders to clean the interface up better, it would also be nice to able to make install instructions a little more clear when wanting to install software like the ability to prevent the installation of software until they have gone over the requirements or pre-reqs.

Manual agent check in from client
I would love to be able to use a command switch to force a check-in from a client machine. Something like %INSTALLDIR%\AMPAgent.exe /checkin. This would be very handy for new machines trying to get updates and patches ASAP before being deployed to a new hire, for example.

Managed Install Scheduling
I would love to see the ability to set a more specific deployment schedule for the managed installs. Make it like the patch deployment scheduling where you can pick certain day(s) of the week, specific time of day, specific date & time, etc. We have many machines that can only have software deployed to them at specific times and this would help automate that process.

Restrict Which Queue a user can see
We are an MSP and we have specific queues for specific clients. these queues have the clients name on them. the issue is in the client portal users can select which queue to see. while they wont be able to submit tickets to those queues ( i have them restricted with labels) they can still see those queues exist and see the names of our clients. i would like the ability to restrict a given user to only seeing the queues i want them to see.

Installation possibility in User-Portal in "User-Context"
I am looking for a feature, that allows Software to be installed in "User Context". Currently, if a software is published in the software portal, the user itself can initiate the installation. The software is then pushed to the UserAgent and the service installs the software with its system account.
I am looking for the possibility to launch installations within the user context (to access HKCU or %APPDATA% from the current user account running this software). Background is that a distributed package (via software portal) or a software installation job could do things like adjusting the signature of the user…35 votes -
Kernel Extension (KEXT) Approval
Please give us the ability to approve kernel extensions (KEXT) for macOS, via KACE. Since 10.13, High Sierra, KEXT approvals have gotten more strict. Now, I can't push software completely silently to my users. They have to approve/press ok when it pops up on their screen that something was blocked from running (me installing software).

Variable Field for Reports
Allow it to be possible to have a report that is based on an end user's specific criteria so that the report doesn't have to be edited by KACE admin everytime an end user needs a report ran.

Better Alert Scheduling
Under Reports/Alerts, it would be nice if the scheduling were better. As it is now, you can only schedule an alert to run every day or once a week. It would be nice if you could schedule an alert bi-weekly, monthly, yearly, etc.

Initiate patch installation to local machine from patch detail page
From the adminui/patch.php page, add a button to force a detect/deploy for the patch on the current machine. This would be useful for trouble-shooting failed patch deployments when only a few machines have trouble.

Create label groups for scripting & deployment purposes, not just organizational purposes
While there is an ability to create group labels in the K1000, these serve little purpose other than organizational purposes because the group label cannot be applied to a script which makes it basically useless. I would like the ability to create a group and then use that group however I want, just like any other label. Example: Deploy Script A to Building Z instead of manually selecting each label for Accounting, HR, Admin, etc.

Allow knowledge base search before entering ticket
Before submitting a new ticket the title of the service ticket can be checked against the knowledge base. It then can show those results and then the user can put a ticket in. Much like how you put a ticket in now with quest. This would be an awesome feature.

Implement vPro KVM and Management in K1000
Is it possible for Kace to implement in the K1000 a internal tool to use vPro KVM and the vPro machine in general like the other competitor do?(Symantec, Landesk...)
28 votesThis will not be in scope for the next release as other priorities push it down the list. We are investigating this as a potential roadmap item for a subsequent release. We encourage others to vote as your input greatly affects our prioritization during release planning.
