Force kiosk operation on a designated machine
I think it would be greatly useful to have the K1000 provide a simple check-on/check-off option to force a designated computer to operate in kiosk-mode, with a list of programs that should be allowed to run.
In our environment, we have two desktops that were set up specifically in two conference rooms to subject job candidates to a psychological assessment, as part of our job interview process. Lately, I've noticed a growing trend of employees booking those conference rooms just to use the computer, which makes it unavailable for use by HR.
That's why I'd like to lock down those two computers from being used in ways that they were not destined for.
Our psych assessment requires only an Internet connection, Internet Explorer, and Java, so I would want to restrict any other applications from running other than critical Windows services.
I actually submitted a support ticket to find out if this is currently possible somehow, and was given some interesting ways of achieving the desired result, but nothing as convenient as a simple on/off option and a list of permitted applications like what I'm suggesting.
Thanks!

If they're WinXP, it sounds like you just need to use SteadyState with a local profile. For Win7, you can use mandatory profiles.
Or set a written/verbal policy in your organization that only HR is allowed to use those computers.
