Logo customisation works fine. As long as you upload a .bmp image with the correct resolution, it will sync over to the workstations the next time it checks in. It is worth noting that the custom image is only visible after the sync and can be found in the folder c:\ProgramData\Dell\KACE\downloads\custom\client_logo.bmp.
It is also possible to change the title of the window, with a little hacking.
Using the freeware Resource Hacker (google it), you need to open C:\Program Files (x86)\Dell\KACE\KUserAlert.exe and then edit the following:String table / 12 / 1033 / 187 . Editing the text between the "" changes the title window text for desktop alerts.

I see this has not been updated since May31. Has the logo customization been fixed for the desktop alerts?

Just FYI to all - working with Kace support we finally got our alert custom logo working. I am not sure what the cause was but whatever changes they made fixed our situation.
I cannot say if Rudy's suggestion of using the script template to run a more customized alert works. I have never been able to get that working correctly.
I do say that over time and several system upgrades, the Alerts have seemed to work better. Would still be extremely helpful if we could customize the alert title bar - VERY confusing to users as it stands right now.

@Rudy: The problem is that the logo override feature for the alert function currently does not work. Using the "scripts" message box may be able to customize the text but the logo is still the stock Kace image regardless of any custom image uploads.

If you use logo overide "settings - General settings - logo override" you can edit logo!
Alternative for using "Reporting - Alerts" wich displays Kboxdesktopalert --> use "scripting - Scripts" --> Message box there you can edit title / subtitle / message / time ect.
Normally there should be a example script of this that can be edited. -

We are a new user to Kace (about 2 weeks in). After playing with the device, I am shocked that the Alert tool is so buggy. Definitely need to be able to add our logo (current uploader does not work, support confirmed this is a known issue). Also need to change the Alert title text from KBOXDesktopAlert as it is extremely confusing to our users. Until this changes, we probably won't use this feature which is a major letdown.

It's really worrying that KACE aren't getting to no brainer features like this. The core product/technology is obviously impressive, but I haven't seen any improvements in the year we have been using the system.

Whenever I broadcast a message it says KBOXDesktopAlert .. users are like... what is that? Man its a simple as adding the -name to the command. Why can't you just add the line "Subject" and let us input.. hire me i can do that!! LOL!!

Has anything been done about this issue.

Would be nice to Brand the user alerts with own company logo. Having a window pop with KACE (Dell) is raising too many questions from users and the requests get ignored.

Some of our users don't understand what the Kace Alerts are for and most of them just click the close button without reading it. I agree with Francisco with the KBOX Alerts look a bit unwanted.

This is a feature I'd like to see. Displaying our company logo and my department's information in an easily visible location would help identify the pop-up as coming from a trusted source. I already include a little information in the body of the alert, but it seems no one, including other IT staffers, reads that.

branding is really important. The KBOX alerts look very much like spyware to regular users.

I sent an email to all my users about the alerts, but of course they ignored my email and are constantly asking what a KBOX alert is.
