When metering is enabled, an attempt to uninstall the agent will fail because MobileAppinfo.log is locked by the Quest KACE Software Meter service. Shutting down that service allows the uninstall to complete successfully.

Now I understand Support maintains that its best practice to disable metering prior to uninstalling the agent, but that's not always practical when you're troubleshooting why an agent with an active heartbeat isn't running inventory. We've found that a quick uninstall and reinstall of the agent is usually all it takes to kick that process in the head.

Instead, it makes more sense for the uninstaller to shut down all services that the agent had previously installed, including the metering service.
