Sync users with AD
Sync users with AD
We would like our AD users to be sync'd instead of simply imported. Since there is no way to easily remove old users, it would be better to have a sync with AD with an option to keep users associated with tickets.
Since we are a school district, we have high user turnover every year so we have thousands of old/inactive accounts in our K1000.
Thank you.

Thank you for posting this request. We encourage others to “vote it up” for consideration in a future release.
Note that as of SMA 8.0, you can manually archive users, but the understanding on this request is that we automate it and that is what is under review.

I know this is a pretty stale request but I figured out a way to automatically disable inactive users in Active Directory and run this job on a daily schedule using a ticket queue rule. I am using our primary queue. I am attaching the steps on how to do this. Hopefully this will help someone.

We are a healthcare entity so we have students that come through as well. However, we also keep their user account inactive for auditing purposes. We would like the ability to use this but have users who sync from AD as disabled accounts be archived in kbox and potentially de-archived if the user account becomes active again.

We don't remove users from our AD for audit purposes. We would like to specify a criteria for user archival based on either an attribute or a OU.

Agreed. The user data base needs to be realtime.

This would be great. Please make this happen.
