Synchronize physical inventory from the barcode scanner with automatically discovered assets

We have a handheld bar-code scanner that we use to inventory all of our physical devices. Before adopting the K1000 we were using Numara Track-it system to do the inventory. The great thing about Track-it was the fact that it synced up very nicely with the bardcode scanner and automatically updated the database over the network once the scanner had been placed in it's docking station. This ultimately eliminated the need to constantly import scanned inventory because there was constant synchronization between the handheld scanner and Numara Track-it System. It would be nice if Kace was able to automatically sync up with handheld barcode scanners like Motorola MC9090S-L and keep the assets up to date without having to constantly import csv files.

    Would love to use hand held bluetooth barcode scanners without having to buy a $2400 license for BarKode... just support this already.

    We used an ODBC database and a handheld Motorola device that had a integrated scanner to update our assets. Now we have a much slower and inefficient process since migrating to the K1000. Please add this feature. People don't even believe me when I tell them that the only way to import is to match headers and manually import a csv file.

    the k1000 go app would need to use the camera to see the qr or barcode and auto lookup or enter new devices.

    Did you want to trigger an Asset Import? I'm not sure what the integration that you are looking for does.
