There needs to be an actual Agent for vmWare Host Servers.
Having go manually run scripts on over 50 host machines is cumbersome. It would be far less cumbersom to be ablel to push an agent to the vmWare Host Server and then never have to worry about inventories again.

We started to use the K1000 for Dell Updates (BIOS, Firmware,...). Unfortunately it is only possible for Windows Servers. As more and more servers are running VMWare ESXi it would be great when the Dell Updates feature runs on these servers too.

SNMP works.
But why can't we add OMSA, and turn on additional snmp reporting? -

http://www.kace.com/support/resources/kb/solutiondetail?sol=133054 I followed that, and its not at all the same. It just puts the entire SNMP Walk in the SNMP field. While it isn't horrible, its certainly not nearly as useful as an agent based device.
