Since KACE SMA contains most of our assets, I was wondering if there could be a new module for the management of Configuration Items as part of the Configuration Management Process. This will allow to go further in the asset management and simplify change deployment.

This new module should allow to create a CMDB, which goal is to :
- Define Configuration Items with customizable linked attributes (Requirements, support, status, version, etc...)
- Define dependancies relation between Configuration Items
- If a change is required, be able to display every dependancies from a Configuration Item in order to identify risks and impact (with a map or a list)

No idea have been sent on this subject until now but I think it's important for every company which work with the ITIL referential for deployment and change management.
