Use import/export resources for service desk categories
I would like to be able to export/import a list of categores/sub-categories from a .csv file into the service desk ticketing configuration.

I agree with this. Mass updating/cloning queue categories with export/import options would be fantastic. I would also like to lock down who can manage these queues without removing their access to create their own scheduled templates.

Please add this, including mass removal/delete options.

I would like to add another voice to the need to be able to especially import, but also export, helpdesk categories via CSV. LABORIOUS, TEDIOUS, PAIN IN THE BUTT all accurately describe the situation without a capability like this. Take, for example, a facilities queue for which there are countless buildings, floors, and rooms to list. For our small to medium sized company, that's in the hundreds of manual categories to define. See what I mean?

We utilise 2 queues that use the same categories. Even if there's a central core categories list that you only need to update once for any queue it would save the laborious task of duplicating the categories. Either that or give us access to export/import the categories from the database using our preferred MySQL software.

OK - I highlighted the items on the screen, pasted into a txt file, did a find replace on :: to , - then saved as .csv and opened in excel. This is just so we can review what we have in an easier format to clean up. I'm not sure if we can then import after changes, that would be nice?

Any feedback on this?

Agreed. For purposes of replicating queues or mass editing of categories.
