Location Overview
When I open a "location", only the inventory is displayed - no assets. For example, we have assigned a monitor asset to a location - but this monitor is not displayed. It should appear in the "location" everything assigned - otherwise you do not need a location.

Import Active Directory Computers to Compare Against KBOX Inventory
It would be nice if you could import your AD computers list into the Agent Provisioning and have it there to compare against your current KBOX inventory. This would quickly allow you to find what computers in your domain are missing the KBOX agent instead of having computers in your environment that aren't getting the agent that you don't know about.

Bitlocker Encryption Status
Since most of the users of Kbox are in Enterprise environments it would be great if we could have the kbox check the bitlocker encryption status. This info could maybe show in the hardware section so we can generate reports onit to make sure our machines are fully encrypted. If that won't work maybe we can have a default Kace script that will check the percentage encrypted and other items.
73 votesAlong with DDP|E and Mac FileValut information, we now Bitlocker details in device inventory as of v6.4.

"Asset Tag" field support for Dell BIOS
The service tag field is used from the Dell BIOS, why not the "asset tag" field? This serves as an organizations unique inventory number and could be used in help desk and inventory work flows. Additionally the asset's themselves could benefit from containing location information such as building/floor/room. Tracking equipment moves would be much easier and with auditing changes, would be much easier to track.

Have computer asset names sync with inventory names

Use custom inventory to create labels based on the contents of a text file
If Custom inventory could read the contents of a text file you could use it to create labels. This could be used to automate the sync'n of Agents to Organinzations.
27 votesThis can be achieved today using the ShellCommandTextReturn Custom Inventory rule function and a machine script. You can push a shell script to a defined set of machines, then use the CI to run the script and return a text result. A Smart Label could then use the returned text to determine label membership.

Be able to change asset type from computer to own defined asset type
Today (v6) if you setup an agentless device they will all automatic be created as an asset type of "computer". However, most likely you will have created your own asset types like switches, printers etc that are also network devices however not computers. This will create confusion since you can have two assets with the same name but only one of them will be linked to the correct device. You can of course make a workaround and add the asset type in a separate field in the computer asset. However, if you make a listing then of asset type computers…

More Asset fields able to sync with Inventory
I would like to see if there was a way to enhance the Asset Inventory to be more dynamic on demand. The Computer Name column updates but it would be real nice to be able to pull other such information as well such as the current logged on user, Service Tag, Current OU the computer is located under (LDAP Query). That way such things as the asset tag (btw doesn't pull via inventory for some reason) would be the only thing that needs to be typed in thus reducing the time to update the asset page.
20 votesWe will expose the ability to choose which inventory fields from the computer inventory you would like displayed in version 6.3

Asset Management function that allows for assets to be transferred
Could you provide Asset Management function that allows for assets to be transferred from one asset type to another? Our inventory goes through the standard life cycle of Stock/Production/Retired. This would reduce the data entry greatly, as well as human error during the re-entry of standard information from asset type to asset type.

Service Tag on Inventory Screen
It would be nice to be able to see the service tag of each machine while looking at the list of your Inventory instead of having to click on each machine. Just add it as an option column would be sufficient.

Allow Multiple Attachments in an asset
Per Kace training recommendation I changed the License text field in the License Asset to an attachment field so I can attach the actual license documents and supporting information. This is a great idea but you can only add one attachment. I would be very nice to have the option of adding several attachments.
16 votesYou are now able to add additional attachment fields when you create/ edit an Asset Type.
