  1. Managed Install warning is worded incorrectly

    When removing all labels/devices from a managed installed, a warning appears with "You have not limited this distribution to any labels or devices. Are you sure you want to deploy to all devices?" with the option to choose Yes or No. Choosing Yes does not push the install to all devices as the warning box seems to indicate it will. The install will not push to any devices.

    My thought is no warning or a warning "you have chosen not to install to any machines" or something similar.

  2. Exclude and Include buttons in installs

    Including an "exclude", and an "include", button would be great in all installs formats (managed, scripted, patches, etc).

    We've found if we attach a label to a KACE install and then add an additional PC to that install, that one PC overrides the label.
    In other words, the one PC will get the install but the PCs inside the label don't.

  3. Reboot required option

    On Managed Distribution (install or uninstall), Please have an option that reboot is needed to complete the setup. Users would still be given the alert and snooze options.

  4. Managed Installations - Status

    I'd also like to better bulk edit for status. Currently you can enable/disable this changes the execution to either "Disabled" or "Anytime" I'd like to be able to choose any of the execution options.

  5. Failed Installations - Create Label Option

    After pushing an installation to the entire enterprise there will be some computers that get missed. I would like to be able to click on the job in the "Run Now Status" screen and have an option to create a label of any machines that failed to install.

  6. Ability to create LDAP labels based on the membership in a security group

    I have a Global Security Group with a big list of users. It would be great if I could target a Managed Install based on the membership of that group.

  9. Execute before logon without network connection

    Currently, even if the managed install executable is downloaded to the user's PC and managed installation option is set to "before logon", the executable does not run without a valid network connection during login. I think there should be an option such as "execute without network connection" such that the executable runs before the desktop shows even without network connection.

  10. Monitoring software installs for users

    Monitoring downloads for users not just IT distributers. There needs to be a means of those requesting downloads to be able to see that a download of software is in progress (other than saying it has been requested, which can sometimes last weeks). Some clear indicator of more specific percentage status is needed so the user knows that there is genuine progress happening. This would be incredibly useful and would also help take some pressure off of the IT department needing to look into this which special access permissions for each instance.

  11. Download software BEFORE Notification

    Currently Managed Installations currently waits to download package/software when Notify is turned on. Request that once the software is downloaded then the Notify is acted upon. This would be much more efficient and less time consuming for the end user. Especially useful for large software packages.

  13. Distribute Managed installations to Laptops that are currently plugged in

    We have some Managed Installations that need to be completed without interruption which are pretty intensive installs. We do not want the Laptops on battery power to shutdown/die during install.

    It would be nice to be able push the install with the criteria that the laptop is currently plugged in.

  14. Fujitsu PC Support

    We have Dell and Fujitsu HW. It would be helpfull, if K1000 supports the Fujitsu HW more. Especially driver- and OS- Installation is to be done in other steps than with the Dell HW. The Dell Integration is very good. If the Fujitsu Integration would be on the same level, our work would be done easier...

  15. A "run as" option when setting up MIs

    An option that would allow you to run an MI as a LocalAdmin if needed.
    My team is trying to manage about 10 types of users with different needs, on about 400PCs.
    Would like the ability to get passed some things like UAC by running as a LocalAdmin or a DomainAdmin.

  16. Add new version to software catalog items for managed installs

    Managed installs using a software catalog payload instead of inventory software have the huge advantage, that the MI will not be triggered if a newer version is already installed. However attaching an installer package to a SW catalog item requires the exact version to be installed and detected on at least one computer. I would like to have the ability to add a version to an existing sw catalog entry to be able to upload the installer package for an MI.
    Also, when a version where a package has been attached previously is no longer discovered, it is not possible…

  17. "Run Now" option for Managed Install Read Only access

    I can now enter a machine and deploy a managed install much like I would a script, but I must have write access to do that. I would like to give that ability to technicians who have read only access to Managed Installs.

  18. Please remove the "All devices" option or made it harder to activate in Managed Install

    Admin can easily and accidentally deploy a software to all PCs. Why not have a box and you need to type ALL-DEVICES to enable it if that is what you really want. When a PC momentarily freeze and admin is not paying attention, that button is easily clicked on.

  19. Create a better method of determining operating system whether a x86 or x64

    Upon creating a Managed Install, it would be great for KACE to automatically determine which OS the client is running.

  20. Allow device exclusion from Managed Install

    When you check "All Devices" for a Managed Install, it would be nice if you could exclude certain devices.

    For example, we have users which use Adobe Pro, however Adobe Reader is a managed install which will deploy to every computer as every user needs it. However, it overrides Adobe Pro as the default PDF application. So being able to exclude our users which use Adobe Pro would be a nice feature.
