    This is under consideration but not planned for the next release. Please continue voting if you’d like to see this feature prioritized for a future release.

  2. Change Patch Deployment scheduling so that Notify acceptance is required before deploying patches

    Currently, the NOTIFY section says:
    Display an alert dialog to offer the console user a chance to delay or cancel the action before it executes. If no user is logged on to the console, schedule run immediately.

    However, in practical sense, this is not good. I only discovered this after having a session with tech support, and this behavior does not work for us. We have a maintenance window for our servers which require manual intervention to allow reboot of the server during a maintenance window. I was planning on setting up the Kace patch deployment to display a notification…

  4. Enable function to allow client to initiate patch deployment process to itself

    Enable client to initiate patch deployment process to itself. You can add it to the user console page of the Kace appliance. In the same way as there is a Downloads module for software deployment, Kace should add a new Patch module to allow clients to click on to install all patches defined for deployment to the client, and/or the client can select the patches they want to get deployed to itself.

  6. Dell Update Schedules

    Can you change the standard behavior in schedules whereas, 1) no Device Label is specified and 2) the "All Devices" checkbox is left unchecked, that the schedule will actually deploy to no devices? This is the logical, more intuitive, behavior.

  7. we need to log why patches didn't get installed. Status RC:2

    Currently KACE logs statuses RC:0 and RC:1, per security regulatory requirements we require to log why patches didn't get installed, regardless of the reason. An option that clients can opt out if not needed because of the amount of data that will be additionally logged into the database.

    If no error is encountered, there are Three possible detection results:
    RC: 0
    rc= 'patched'
    detect_result=0
    RC: 1
    rc= 'NOT patched'
    detect_result=1
    RC: 2
    rc= 'NA'
    detect_result=2

  8. Patches are assigned to incorrect OS.

    When setting up a smart label for patches and using the field of "Operating System" I then set that to a value of "Win 2012 R2 SP0 x64" which will incorrectly include patches for Server 2012. Most patches are labeled as applying to both OS. Which isn't correct. For example. KB3161561 has a patch for 2012 and another one for 2012R2. Both are classified as applying to both OS when it should be a one to one relationship.

  9. Allow the organization administrator to add and remove the patch update source

    Allow the organization administrator to add and remove the patch update source. The admin should be able to change the patch source to internal or other update sources instead of using Lumention or Windows Update.

  10. Run again option for failed patch deployments

    There has to be a better way to run patches against failed deployments. In a large organization when a schedule fails for 30 of 600 machines I need a simple way to redeploy to those that failed. As of now I only see the way of copying the failed machines and entering them into a different schedule to retry. That's fine if you only have 1000 machines, but when the numbers climb it's very time consuming and also skews the results percentage in the original run.

    In the 'Patch Schedule Detail' screen the devices under 'Patch Tasks' are not sorted. It is also not possible to sort them manually.

  12. Allow for Maintenance Windows for patch deployments

    With SCCM there is the option to allow a Maintenance window for a group of machines (collection). So i could have a single patch schedule which defines the group of patches to be deployed and assign it to all systems. The machines would ONLY be able to download and install the patches based on the defined maintenance window.

    Example:
    Server Group A - midnight to 2am
    Server Group B - 2am to 4am
    Server Group C - 4am to 6am

    Patch schedule includes all server groups. But based on the respective windows the times these servers will patch will be…

  14. Snapshot a Hyper-V Machine before Patching

    Before Patching a Hyper-V Machine wouldn't it be awesome if the K1000 could have the perform a snapshot first, so if it fails you could just revert in a matter of a few minutes.

  15. Patch Catalog - Default View

    Just as we have a customized default view in Inventory, can we have a customized default view in Catalog for patch management? It always opens up to show Applicable Packages and 2016. I would rather it default to Individual Packages and a patching label we have created to simply steps.

  16. Have a red line in 3rd party patch management

    Currently some patches are disabled, without providing the latest patch.
    ex. 7-zip, latest version for download on K1000 is ver. 15.14, but is in disabled state, properly because ver. 16 is released from 7-zip.org, but if i takes 10 business days until ver. 16 is ready for download, then i those 10 business day, then i am not able to patch ver. 15.14.
    However in Adobe Flash Player, latest version on K1000 is 21.0.0.213, and its available, even 21.0.0.241 is released from Adobe.
    I would like that latest version on all 3rd party components, would be active, until a new…

  17. PC Exception Lists for Patch deployment

    I would like to see an Exception list option added to the Patch Management and the Managed Deploy in the K1000.
    In our case, we have "General Build Groups for different sites that we manage. In these group there might be 150 - 200 computers. In the General Build we want to have all of them to be patched with latest version of Adobe Reader, Java, .Net. But lets say that out of the 150 - 200 PC's there are 5 that we don't want to update the Java because of a particular Application that requires a particular version of…

  18. Exclude certain machines from labels when patching, scripting, software managed install, etc

    When certain machine labels includes some machines that should not be deployed patches or scrpits or software, you select those machines in blank box.

    And selected machines are not affected at all.

  19. Patch Management - Schedule drill down

    Would like to be able to swap screens back to patch schedule vs patch management when drilling down.

    Example:

    Security - Patch Management - Patch Schedule ... I drill down to teh schedule and have to return to the Patch Management to choose the Patch Schedule to drill down to another schedule.

    Photo Attached - Top Photo, fixing to go into a schedule
    Bottom photo - ONly the option to return to the patch management vs Patch schedule selection.

  20. Patching Notification

    Just spit balling a thought that just ran through my head:

    What if Lumension / Kace issued a patching notice / update to admins who register for it? It could be a weekly email thing. In it Lumension could outline newly released patches (MS, et al.) and the projected release dates from Lumension down to our Kboxes. As admins we would know that certain patches we are looking for are in the pipeline and their ETA dates. Now, as admins, we are no longer in the dark wondering where our patches may be. It would keep emails or support tickets…
