Add 'Unassigned' as option in 'Assigned to' field in Computer Assets
Currently I can't set the 'Assigned to' field to 'Unassigned' after it has already been assigned to a user. In 6.x and older when you had a User field in assets, 'Unassigned' could be selected.
A couple of examples as to why this is necessary:
1) Often times computers will sit on a shelf to be used at a later date after a user gets a new machine. My asset manager needs to set that as 'Unassigned' until it's ready to be assigned to a new user.
2) A computer is assigned to a user but the user gets a new machine. The old machine is then assigned to a computer lab. A lab machine shouldn't be assigned to a specific user.
Hopefully you get the idea. I see this more as a bug as the functionality existed in the previous major release (albeit in a different, yet very similar field), but was told to place it here.
Hopefully the resolution of this request can be expedited as our Summer faculty roll begins soon, and this could cause serious problems with asset/inventory management.
