We have our KACE update processes for Patches and for Dell firmware and Drivers scheduled for Wednesdays. It is also set to ask the user if they would like to reboot their machine now or not.
We're having a problem where even though some people respond to the prompt to not reboot now, their system still goes a head and unexpectedly reboots at some point soon after the prompt.
The response from KACE on this issue is: "Some Patches (like a System BIOS or a Service Pack) require a reboot and unfortunately WILL reboot. This is just an unfortunate side effect of automation."
This should be fixed so that the system will not reboot if the user has chosen to not reboot now.
KACE suggested that I enter this as a Feature Enhamcement request here.
