Read/ Write API Access to all Modules
I would like the ability to create a user that has write access to just the Asset tables of the K1000.
This would then give us the opportunity to write a mobile App that would let us scan an asset tag barcode and display the info on the screen and if the details for that asset eg: location, owner etc were not correct they could be altered on the spot without having to write down lists or carry a laptop around.
Please reference the API Guide
A simpler solution will be to use the KACE GO app (for iOS or Android)

Not all systems can send emails in Plain Text Unicode format. Please allow for web services.
I would like the same access as we utilize opsgenie for Alerts for Urgent UnAssigned Tickets via TXT Message and Phone Call. with an API, it would make it easy for us to have OPS Genie send a response to Take Ownership of a ticketby selecting a specific response to the automated call.

This is a very old improvement request, Yea or Nea. It would be extremely useful (Automated ticket creation, Asset Management, user management, etc...)
@hobbsy - could you tell me how to get in contact with you about how you "integrate our KACE inventory with, say a 3rd party Helpdesk".

Hobbsy How do I get in touch?
Still not sure how this wasn't part of the initial design. Seems integral. Email is not an API.
Hey Hobbsy - would like to know more on this. Whats the best way to get in touch?
We have developed a method for updating KACE from any toolset, which means we can integrate our KACE inventory with, say a 3rd party Helpdesk. Or we can get other Dell toolsets to raise tickets in our Dell KACE service desk. IN short we can integrate anything with anything and that includes all of the functionality within KACE. Just get in touch if you want to know more.

We are evaluating the possibility of using Kace's help service feature for our central ticketing system. However, the fact that no API is provided by Kace might forces us to keep researching other tools.
We are a software development company and we need to integrate the tools we currently use to track projects/roadmap etc with Kace.
This feature for us is a show stopper, and it is unfortunate since we really like Kace.

While redmine is purely a ticketing system (for software development) they have a nice REST based api for both creating things (people, tickets, categories, etc) with and identifier returned for latter use and finding and updating things. It is very nice. To be honest I was surprised that something like this does not exist in kace. A bit disappointed really.
We are looking at the same kind of automation, even an API would be nice.
I would also like this access. We find the Asset part of Kace does not meet our needs and this is due to the large amounts of Computers assets we have. I find Kace to me designed more for smaller organisations.

I too would like an API push, modify, and pull data from other applications or from custom programs/scripts.
