Fix the SMTP test when using Anonymous authentication
We user IP authentication instead of user name/password for our SMTP server. I get an error message whenever I try to send a test email from the SMTP settings in the KACE appliance.
The error message is: "Invalid email address format for the username"
This should be fixed to allow a blank username and password to work with the test.

This error is erroneous. lol.
Basically, ignore it. The test here doesn't work for anonymous. The test that does work is under the Run diagnostic utilities.

I'm getting the same error even when not using anonymous authentication, when I have a valid username/password in the credential boxes, and when using a valid email address when doing the "Test Connection".

Yes please fix. This is indeed frustrating when trying to trouble shoot outbound email issues.
I have the same issue .... I am guesing this is not fixed yet?
