Progress bar on patch deployment + Summary of patching
This idea is already published. It is marked as 'Completed', but there is still no progress bar, so I decided to create a new idea, because I don't know another way to respond to the status, so it will be recognized by Kace.
I would like to see a progress bar on the client while patching for the current patching job.
I think it would be enough for example if there are 10 patches to deploy, 6 are already finished, the progress bar would show 60% finished.
Maybe it is also a good idea to see a short summary which patches were successful, which not.

Not just a progress bar on the client but a progress bar on the k1000 as well.

8 years later and being able to track patching on an individual end point easier is still a needed feature. Only way to do it now if run a repot or manually refresh inventory on the device and check under the security tab.

Why even bother voting here really? -

Any chance that this could be completed sometime this decade?

We need more info on the client notification popup.

A summary of patching, and expanded patching information in the device inventory would be fantastic. Currently, it's very difficult to determine which patches are running on a system and when they installed. The "Patches reported as installed" list is virtually useless for tracking deployments or issues with patches - seeing this expanded out with install dates/times

Agree. and similar to this: https://kace.uservoice.com/forums/82699-k1000/suggestions/3987437-allow-a-user-to-patch-on-demand
Lots of complaints. So, my votes count as representative of 700+ users :)

Also having the End users be able to see how many patches are completed versus how many are left to install. either with a # of # or a progress bar.

The patch status is lacking visual reporting. This is a need for those who manage device patching. Reporting is all well and good, but to be able to see real time status updates is a time saver. The 6.3 update did add some limited patch status numbers on the scheduling page. This is limited and not very helpful. I will say it's better than nothing. Other products do have real time status updates which allows for better strategic planning throughout the day. I do ask the KACE dev team to dive a little deeper and provide real time patch status info.
