Patch Notifications Improvements Needed
Please review the attached chat I had with support. The Notify section of patching needs some serious improvement. The snooze option, if used, needs to be configurable. It's crazy that I can't configure the snooze values. Who gives a user an 8 hour option to snooze? I can see where for some it might work, for us it does not.
Also, if I don't select any option for Notification, why do the progress and completion text boxes stay enabled while the initial message test box greys out? I was expecting that by selecting nothing for options in notifications that I would be able to avoid having the snooze feature appear and give my users some alert as to the fact that patching was complete and that they should reboot. Instead, the message appears for 2 seconds and then goes away.
If we could somehow initially show a notification that patching has started and then give the user the option to hide or minimize the patch progress window, I would ideally like to give the user an alert that patching is in progress and then another when it's done. This doesn't seem possible with Kace.
