When using the reboot option, although the timer does appear on the desktop, the countdown timer doesn't decrement. If the countdown timer is set to 30 minutes, the timers remains at 30 minutes until reboot. The timer doesn't move. It's doing it in the background but the users don't see the timer decrementing and it confuses the users as they do not know how much time they have left before it'll reboot. I'd like it to show the timer counting down.

This is a simple feature request surely, its all about how an end users experience is when patches are being installed it needs to be clear and concise and the user must have a clear idea on what actions are taking place and when the end device is going to reboot. Clarity is key from an end users experience.
As a user who just got screwed by KACE restarting my computer because I didn't quite know exactly how long I had left... I would very much love to see this. Can't you just tie into the "shutdown" command which provides a user-visible mechanism for this?
The countdown timer should actually countdown.
