Pre-staging of patches
To increase our patching run rates and to better manage network bandwidth, we’d like the ability to pre-stage required patches on systems and kick off the installation at a designated time; preferably, the appliance tells the agent to start its patching cycle at the designated time (especially for devices off-network like laptops).
It's my understanding that staging doesn't occur with just a detect; the updates are only copied down during the deploy phase.
This is under consideration but not planned for the next release, Please continue voting if you’d like to see this feature prioritized for a future release.

This would be a great feature, especially for our devices that are not always connected. Once staging is completed, we could then trigger the installation (deploy) and would have better success with our laptop devices. It would also be useful to be able to still use the regular deploy options for devices that are always connected.

This would be a great feature for remote users, the devices would download the patches and install at a specified time even if they are not connected the vpn/network. this would greatly increase the compliance. Also prestaging could occur over the weekend and patches to deploy on tuesday. this would have to be a static deployment label, it would need to check if anything changed prior to the deployment, but it should reduce the overall patching process for change management.

I would love this for my clients! I love this even more if it were able to be pre-staged and executed upon login or logout!
Too often we have patches for application like Flash failing because users didn't close their browsers.
We were recently in discussions with Dell concerning this feature and it doesn't seem like it is getting looked into at this time. We have a limited amount of time that we can patch our servers and this feature would be of great benefit.
