  1. There needs to be Kace "Certification" available personnell for personnel operating Kace Solutions. A Kace Certified Administrator (KCA)

    Employers like certifications. When you are looking to hire a new employee or when you are evaluating the work of a current employee, their industry certifications are a major factor. Training (like at the Kace Konference) could be the basis for these certifications, with testing at course end to verifiy learning. Employers and Employees would both benefit, as well as would Kace, as certified personnell are some of the best testimonials/advertisements for products and solutions.

  2. A Best Practice Guide - For K1000

    Would be nice to have a best practice guide on implementing the K1000.
    I think its important for Kace to have a baseline for customers to work within.

    I found it rather difficult in the early stages of our kace implementation the responses i would get from different members of kace. I also think this might get kace support team on the same playing field. I often find i get a different answer every time i ask the same question. When im trying to achieve the one objective.

  3. Better Phone support

    Kace has some of the best support staff ever, it’s just hard to make contact with them. I have needed them twice since the 5.5 upgrade and getting hold of them with limited hours and no weekend support has been difficult, communicating through their ticketing system is just painful. As a hospital that depends heavily on our Kace appliances we need the assurance that we can reach out when needed for support.

  4. Disable HTML format

    We use KACE in Dark Mode so after 9.1 upgrade all tickets being formatted in HTML has made the text extremely hard to read (black text on black background). There should be an option to format tickets so the text is always white (like before), or to disable HTML all together as we do not need it.

  5. PLEASE! GO BACK TO THE PREVIOUSLY INTERFACE COLORS KACE 8.0

    This new User and Admin interface colors and Text sizing on KACE SMA 8.0 is horrible! Please, give us possibility to change this!!!

  6. Blacklist KACE Alerts

    I have several kace managed devices that run digital signs. I would like a way to blacklist alerts on these machines, making sure that they never show an alert. I don't care how it is implemented (registry hack, manual label, etc), but prevent patching and alerts for 'all devices' from showing on these machines

  7. Make dashboard clickable for detailed information

    Make the widgets on the dashboard clickable for more detailed information. For instance, clicking on the Connections would take you to a screen that only shows actively connected machines, Critical Patch Compliance would bring up a list of the computers that need patched, or Expiring Dell Warranties would display a list of computers with expiring warranties.

  8. Change the text at the top of the KACE Desktop Alert

    I ran some tests with my users and some IT staff where I used the Desktop Alerts to notify them of the tests and asked them to contact me if it caused them confusion. Even though I had changed the Desktop Alert to have the company logo, the text at the top "KACE Desktop Alert" caused a few responses such as "what is KACE" or "I have received an alert and says KACE or something, what is that". Now my concern is that nobody noticed the company logo below it so I want to be able to modify the desktop…

  9. Inventory Scheduling

    Have the ability to schedule inventories of specific systems through patch labels. Conserve network and system performance by scheduling inventory of servers during the night when they are most likely not as busy. Inventory remote employees on a different schedule than the employees located in the office/s.

  10. Option to suppress "KACE SMA offboard backup is not enabled" message

    Please give an opt-in option to suppress the "KACE SMA offboard backup is not enabled" banner at the top of the home screen. While I understand the need and benefit of this feature, for users who are already utilizing a backup solution (such as Veeam), we may not wish to turn on the SMA offboard backup solution.

    It would be nice to have the option to suppress this message with a setting perhaps located on the backup configuration page, so users who already have an backup solution in place do not have to sacrifice screen space with the banner.

  11. Simplify the creation of LDAP Smart Labels.

    I find the creation of LDAP labels to be very clunky and bulky.
    It would be great if there was a Streamlined way to Link AD groups with Smart labels.

  12. Allow configuration of ports

    Inbound ports 443 and 80 are already in use at the public IP address where our K1000 is in a DMZ. I need to be able to change the listening ports on the K1000 and the ports used by the agents to something else.

  13. Close the gap between macOS release date and support date on the KACE appliances.

    The supported date of MacOS systems on the K1000 and K2000 is far too long after Apple releases a new OS. This prevents some adoption of the tools and hampers the ability to support systems in environments. .

  14. touch friendly menus

    the menu that use fly-outs for sub-selections are not touch friendly. They currently use hover to open and close. Please change the functionality that when they are clicked, they stay open till another selection is made

  15. Allow multiple criteria for advanced searches & smart labels

    When creating advanced searches & smart labels, the way it structures the queries is such that each line is a separate select. That means it searches for each line, then combines the results. So if I am looking for devices with software package A version 1.0, I would think that having a two line search, the first for software title = A and the second for software version 1.0 would get it. But since it does each line separately and combines the results, if a computer has software A version 2.0 and software B version 1.0 it will match even…

  16. Auto select search fields when there is a match

    When filling out the PC number and owner fields, unassigned
    is the top option no matter what is put in the search field. In older
    versions, we were able to type the pc# in the box and hit tab and the
    proper inventory item (PC) would have been selected. Currently, when typing the pc# and hitting tab, 'unassigned' is selected.

  17. The Custom Views should be able to be created for not only fields but Labels also.

    Custom Views that can be created for Lists of items to include more than just ticket fields (Labels, etc.)

  19. Customize the Dashboard Shortcuts

    Have the ability to Customize the Dash board with a shortcut to any of the areas in the K1000. Example: An Administrator want to go have a Shortcut to Tickets, Knowledge Base, and Assets. This way the admin does not need to browse around to find the area they are looking for.

    I think the communication from Kace has gone downhill in the last couple of years. Unless I'm really missing something, I find it hard to find information about what's new, what's in the pipe, and general usage tips and tricks. There used to be an email newsletter... That has gone defunct. There used to be a facebook page... That is gone. I know there was a G+ community (but really who uses that) but even now searching for that, I can't find it, except something with updates back in 2011. Am I just missing where all the "info" is?
