  1. Ignored IP Addresses be a set range in General Settings

    Our environment (academic) has many different layers of networking. And since my KBOX reaides on a different subnet than the rest of my clients, I have to put fill out the Ignore Client IP Address Setting. But I have to do this for each computer's IP address (or AP) out there.

    I propose we have a range of IPs we can submit to ignore

    e.g. - 0.0.0.0, 127.0.0.1, 192.168.1.0/24

  2. Blacklist History

    We had a recent issue where somehow Internet Explorer was set to DO NOT ALLOW in Software metering. We were able to change it back quickly, before it impacted too many people.

    In doing research to see how it happened, we assumed that it would have been capture in Settings\History\Settings - however our history was blank. Even turning everything on, did not show when Allow/Not Allow changes were made.

    Would like this added as an available setting to record history on.

  5. Add lower supported resolutions for the Web UI

    Most of our laptops run a vertical resolution of 768px, which is still an industry standard. A minimum supported y resolution of 800 pixels is too low.

  6. EOL Devices and Licenses

    When devices go end of life, they currently continue to take up a license in KACE. We would like to keep that device in our inventory list for historical/reference purposes. The only way to free up that license is to remove the device and manually add it back into the system. There should be a way to convert the monitored device to unmonitored so it frees up that license and doesnt cause more work for the staff.

  7. Add true LDAP filtering

    I need the ability to filter out a SUB OU from an LDAP label.

    We have our AD organized by city, then under the city a couple of special OU's such as IT Computers. I need to exclude the IT computers from patches applied to the OU above it since they have their own schedule for testing purposes.

  9. remove case sensitivity to login name

    Right now, after a session times out, the login page shows the last user, but capitalizes the name. At least for the built in admin account, the system rejects the login until the name is changed to all lower case.

    Please either stop capitalizing the pre-populated name, or remove case sensitivity for the name.

  10. Be able to rename Inventory and Asset Management menu items

    As with Service Desk, which can be renamed to "Helpdesk" or other term your organization needs, why not make 2 other menus that are confusing, able to be changed. We for example would like to rename 'Inventory' to 'Discovery', and 'Asset Management' to 'Inventory', given that we are using KACE for non-discovered inventory items also.

  11. Save Column Visibility and transfer to other users

    Takes a while to have column visibility set in every module and every view. Create the ability to save views to a file and transfer to to other users, like the Service Desk....

  12. Keep history of child tickets viewable

    Once a child ticket is closed it disappears into the closed ticket black hole and disassociates itself from the parent and drops off the list of child tickets. We are always going back to all closed tickets to find the ticket that was once associated with the parent to see its history. Please add option display closed child tickets for a parent ticket if the child has been closed. We use this for task lists for projects and if all tasks disappear there is no way to view history of the project.

  13. I would like to be able to customize the Notification Pop-Up Window

    The Notification Pop-Up Window has an orange gradient. This causes some issues for people with Red Green Color Blindness. It would be useful allow customization to this behavior.

  14. Update Kace SMA without support renew.

    Is there any chance of you approve the possibility of us update our kace SMA without have a support contract renewed? I believe that opening to updates, not to support, just updating version, the kace community will be more satisfaction and with a great chances to make renew support license, once that they will need any time.

    As an admin, I would like a way to manage more things from a system level. For example, have default software jobs, scripts, smart labels, etc that are required on every or certain orgs, that an ORG-level admin can not turn off.

    This could be done by a simple weight rating for preferred subnets. The idea is to give a way to tell the KACE to try to use LAN connection before wireless connections.

  19. Free Professional Services to script alternate file shares until SMB vulnerability is addressed

    The latest version of the SMA fails to address SMB vulnerabilities by continuing to utilize SMB v1 to share out the client folder and Agent installers it contains. Quest KB articles suggest workarounds of re-enabling this knowingly vulnerable protocol to avoid losing access to the file shares; shares that are necessary to provision agents to new Windows 10 1709 PCs (and other wise OSs which have disabled SMB).

    I would suggest that, rather than asking clients to either 1. Create and troubleshoot their own custom scripts to work around the vulnerabilities you failed to address in the latest update or…

  20. Add a progress bar or percentage count to show progress when backing up KACE database since it takes so long.

    When doing a K1000 backup it takes about an hour causing the user to wonder if it's frozen, and tempting them to do a reset which could corrupt it, so adding a progress bar or % count would be very helpful to show that it's moving.
