UEFI Secure boot
UEFI Secure Boot.
With the release of uefi pxe boots, we can now load images on our dell computers with much less interaction during the unbox. We are still forced to disable secure boot on all new systems before we can boot them.
Secure boot is a prevalent security patch that negates boot malware from infecting systems. this alone should be reason for integrating secure boot loads
all our equipment ships from dell with secure boot enabled under uefi, so I feel our Dell K2000 should be able to image Dell equipment out of the box without needing to modify…

Add the ability to change the install media for scripted installs
It would be cool if I could change the install media out for my scripted installs w/o rebuilding each depolyment. When microsoft releases service packs ti would be handy to upload the new OS then replace the old version with the new.

Support for UEFI deployment and building of UEFI compatible KBE environments
All the new machines that we purchase are capable of UEFI booting. We would like to move over to this but unfortunately at the moment the K2000 doesn't support UEFI.
Implementation of this support would be great.222 votesThis request has been implemented in the SDA (K2) 4.0 release

Driver Feed for Non-Dell systems
Managing non-Dell systems with the K2000 can be hit or miss. you should be able to feed in drivers for non-dell systems, even without the other manufacturers support.
Kace users could submit model specific driver packages to a temporary Kace FTP site, and Kace or other kace users could test and validate the drivers.
Once validated, the drivers could be included in the driver feed library alongside the existing Dell systems.
I have many great Lenovo notebook Driver Packages (T500, T510, T520, W520 etc...) I would love to share, but could use some working HP Desktop Driver Packages (like the…

Automatic Naming of Computer from K1000
If i'm rebuilding a computer the Kbox should rename the computer correctly based on the information in the K1000. The old scripts are klunky. Maybe just a simple database/SOAP query to the K1000 for basic naming.

Configure charlie root (daily) email
Please allow the ability to customise the email sent from Charlie Root (K2000). At the moment it doesn't seem to be configurable. We want to change its 'from' address, and the display name 'Charlie root' to something more meaningful. And make that email alert more configurable, like how often its sent, what to put in 'subject', etc.
- Modify 'from' address
- Modify Display Name
- Turn on/off email notifications
- Schedule charlie root emails (weekends, etc)
139 votesThe information that was originally delivered via Charlie Root emails can now be found in the SDA logs as of 8.0.
Further, with the new email notification system that arrived with 8.0, you can schedule emails that contain useful status and system information to be delivered to your inbox.

Theme support for the web interface or provide a way to restore the old interface color scheme
The 5.0 reskin is a huge step back from the 4.x color scheme and is too bright for my old eyes.
A way to change the colors for the web interface or just have the ability to swap to a dark theme would be great

Higher Drive Capacity
Would like to have the ability to raise the capacity above the 250 GB. Either allow for a second array for slots 3 and 4 or allow the primary drives in slot 1 and 2 to be increased. 250 GB limitation is way too small.

Add SMB v2/v3 support when scanning user states.
To scan user states with USMT from the K2000 web UI, SMB v1 must be enabled on the client pc. Support has confirmed this. There are known vulnerabilities with SMB v1 and most network admins have disabled it in their environments. Please provide support for newer versions of SMB.

Run scripts apart from image deployments or scripted installs
It would be nice to be able to run scripts (such as to configure BIOS, etc.) apart from a scripted install or image deployment. As it is we must have several deployments that have different combinations of scripts in the pre-install task area which makes things confusing and cluttered for our technicians when choosing which deployment option is appropriate. We have several image deployment options just for Windows 7 Ent. x64 alone; all of which take up space.

Template for images / Post-Installation Tasks
we are using several images with the same order of same post-installation tasks.
It would be great, if we could create a template with an order of post-installation tasks and attach the template to the images.
Background: When something has to be changed / Post-Installation task has to be exchanged, every image has to be changed manually.
When there would be a template for that, then just the template would have to be changed and all images which are using that template would get that change(s)....

Make the isos non-windows work again!
With the new version v4.1, ISOs not windows, uploaded KBE Manipulator, aren't loaded. Wimboot is defined as the only way to load KBEs.
Adding a checkbox in KBE details webpage (a row in KBDB.IMINSTALLATIONSOURCE) to set/unset the specific KBE for using memdisk instead of wimboot can be a solution. After saving the KBE, it modify the ipxe menu in the way we want the KBE to be loaded.
This checkbox status can also be use in the UEFI mode, for hiding the se specific KBEs entries from the ipxe menu.
something like that
- KBE with checkbox set as…
