In the meantime if you have it, many of the Ghost Enterprise tools still work well from within a KBE. For multicasting with my RSA I have a batch file that I stored on my \\K2000RSA\petemp share that basically does a "net use" to two different NAS shares. One is where I store a read only copy of my ghost multicast tools such as Ghost64.exe, Ghost32.exe GhostSrv.exe etc and the other is my writable image share.
He's a few shortcuts to make it easy.
Run GhostSrv.exe from within the GUI of a fully booted PC. For the examples below, call the session Session-Name.
Creating a ghost image; To save a lot of mouse clicks, create a batch file or script on one of your shares to execute the Image creation at the KBE command line. (Do this right after sysprep is used.)
GHOST64.EXE -CLONE,mode=CREATE,DST=@MCSession-Name,SRC=1 -rb -sure
To Multicast (I've routinely done as many as 30 machines at once.) Again to save a lot of mouse clicks, create a batch file or script to execute the multicast Image command, like this.
GHOST64.EXE -CLONE,mode=restore,src=@MCSession-name,dst=1 -rb –sure
Let GhostSrv.exe take care of the remaining details. -

We need this feature as well, otherwise we need to look for a solution other than KACE to image PCs.

Would LOVE to have this feature available in the RSA. I have other major locations that need to utilize the KACE imaging functionality but uploading images over the WAN to the KBOX then syncing back to the RSA seems overly redundant.

A major revamp sounds promising. The inability to WOL from the RSA also sucks.

For our RSA Site, We need this feature.
Do you know when this will be added -

You can do a variation of this now for WIMs with GimageX by placing the program in \petemp and launching it from the command prompt. It's very silly that a quick homebrew solution works fine but they can't just remove the "disable_capture.txt" dummy file in peinst to restore the capture feature that is HARD-CODED into the system in the first place.

Its been under review since Nov 2010? What could they possibly be reviewing for so long?
How many votes does this need in order for this to be added to the feature list?

I would really love to see this feature in our environment, I'm working from one of our regional offices using an RSA and really need to have the ability of capturing images from my end!

I would consider this a CRITICAL feature, otherwise we have to go with another Imaging system. Managing 20+ Campus' (School District) images from ONE K2000 is impossible right now.
Having to switch between RSA and Other Imaging solutions is not an viable option, making the K2000 all but useless. This is a critical oversight.

This request has been around for over a year. Forcing us to Capture from the main box is a serious hole in your product's feature set.

without this feature, we will be forced to use alternative imaging products because we are so widely dispersed between major support centers.
