Showing synced System Images/KBEs in RSA
It would be much easier to see what is synced with RSA when they are listed in RSA dashboard itself.

K2000 E-mail Notifications for Off-Board Package Transfer Backups
It would be great to receive e-mail notifications when the Off-Board Package Transfer Backups are successfully completed and/or have issues.

Upgrade Multiple RSAs as Action from Remote Sites Screen
When you manage multiple RSAs, it's a pain to upgrade all of them when you finish an upgrade of the master appliance.
From the remote sites screen on the master appliance, you should be able to check the box next to multiple RSAs, and choose Upgrade Remote Site from the Action dropdown.8 votesThis feature request has been completed. After upgrading the SDA to 7.2, you can use this feature to upgrade multiple RSAs.

Windows Configuration Manager
If we could use provisioning packages created with Windows Configuration Designer as a mid or post level task during deployment we could simplify our image creation and editing process. I also might bring a lot of extra functionality to the game.
1 voteWoohoo! This feature is available in 7.2 and you can use ppkgs created with WCD as PO tasks.

Driver Feed for Non-Dell systems
Managing non-Dell systems with the K2000 can be hit or miss. you should be able to feed in drivers for non-dell systems, even without the other manufacturers support.
Kace users could submit model specific driver packages to a temporary Kace FTP site, and Kace or other kace users could test and validate the drivers.
Once validated, the drivers could be included in the driver feed library alongside the existing Dell systems.
I have many great Lenovo notebook Driver Packages (T500, T510, T520, W520 etc...) I would love to share, but could use some working HP Desktop Driver Packages (like the…

MTU adjustment
Please add the ability to adjust MTU. It appears Kace appliances use the default 1500 mtu for ip4 connections. It seems most modern networks support well beyond this.
The ability to adjust for our environments would have a huge impact on deployment times.

Make Windows Share imaging hack a standard feature (non-RSA)
RSA deployment is not an option for our environment, so found this with the help of Gerald Mack (and Brian Collins)
http://www.itninja.com/blog/view/wim-storage-freeing-up-space-on-your-k2000-if-you-are-using-wim-s
Gerald also provided this DOS command which worked perfectly:
"net use t: /d && net use t: \netshare\share /u:username password"For those offices with small pipes, we load the local KBE via USB key, which we seldom need to update so that is perfect. Ultimately I feel the K2000 should have a function similar to the Replication Shares of the K1000. I believe this would be a major selling point for new customers.

Improvement of Sysprep Creator for Windows 10
It would be helpful to have more options with the Sysprep Creator to build a complete unattend file. Things under "Microsoft-Windows-Shell-Setup" including "BluetoothTaskbarIconEnabled" and "DonNotCleanTaskBar" for examples. Encrypting the password would be great. Adding custom firstlogon commands. Among other things that would be helpful.
14 votesSysPrep Creator version 4.0 supports these features and can be downloaded from the Quest Support portal.

Multicast supporting IGMP instead of PGM would be great.

Ability to Deploy Large Applications as Post Install Tasks
Currently the limit is 2GB I think for Post Install Task. Even with a work around of exporting, re-zipping and importing, the system does not support large applications such as Adobe CC. The only way around this is to run it from a file share.

Template for images / Post-Installation Tasks
we are using several images with the same order of same post-installation tasks.
It would be great, if we could create a template with an order of post-installation tasks and attach the template to the images.
Background: When something has to be changed / Post-Installation task has to be exchanged, every image has to be changed manually.
When there would be a template for that, then just the template would have to be changed and all images which are using that template would get that change(s)....

Add SMB2 support for better performance
The SMB2 protocol gives better performance than the NT1 protocol.
The time and bandwidth used for copying the WIM file could be optimized with it.On "Samba 4.X" versions it is now the default configuration, but on 3.6.X it was needed to activate it by adding "max protocol = SMB2" in the "[global]" section of "smb.conf".
The current Samba version on the K2000 is "Samba 3.6.12", so it would be great if you could either upgrade to "Samba 4.X" (the 3.X series is no more supported) or allow us to select the "max protocol" from a menu in the web…

Configure charlie root (daily) email
Please allow the ability to customise the email sent from Charlie Root (K2000). At the moment it doesn't seem to be configurable. We want to change its 'from' address, and the display name 'Charlie root' to something more meaningful. And make that email alert more configurable, like how often its sent, what to put in 'subject', etc.
- Modify 'from' address
- Modify Display Name
- Turn on/off email notifications
- Schedule charlie root emails (weekends, etc)
139 votesThe information that was originally delivered via Charlie Root emails can now be found in the SDA logs as of 8.0.
Further, with the new email notification system that arrived with 8.0, you can schedule emails that contain useful status and system information to be delivered to your inbox.

Add Powershell Script to Post-Installation Tasks
Now that windows comes with Powershell installed. It would be nice to be able to add Powershell scripts as Post-Installation Tasks instead of having to zip them and run them with a batch file.

Add Custom Boot Images
Is it possible to:
Create a share on the KBox2000 called kbox_custom for people to add their own .img or .iso files too with the intention of developing a system which allows the booting of custom iso's and img files, ie floppy images for things like running asset tagging utilities.
Suggestions for making it work:
Because the method for booting the current iso’s seems to be through the pxelinux kernel, add a section where they can create their own boot strings and tack them onto the bottom of the boot menu.
Something like what I’ve depicted in the picture attached…56 votesThis was made possible with KBE Manipulator many years ago: https://www.itninja.com/question/kbe-manipulator

Filter Installation Tasks
since some companies could have a lot of post install tasks, it'd be nice to be able to search the tasks while adding them to the image and then be able to drag them with out leaving the screen search results. Scrolling through 300+ PITS is cumbersome.

Automatic Naming of Computer from K1000
If i'm rebuilding a computer the Kbox should rename the computer correctly based on the information in the K1000. The old scripts are klunky. Maybe just a simple database/SOAP query to the K1000 for basic naming.

Windows 10 Deployments
I started playing around with Windows 10 Enterprise Pre-Release. I downloaded the AIK from here: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=526740
The new version of Windows 10 can be found on Microsoft Technet or here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/evaluate-windows-enterprise-technical-preview
The issue that I see at present is that the Dell Kace Deployment Application Client: MSHTA.exe will not run on the WinPE 10.
However, a way to install 10 is to navigate to Y:\source_cds\9 (or the updated Windows 10 source CD) then run setup.exe
This will at least install Windows 10. It isn't a work around, but at least it might Windows 10 a step closer to trying it…

Under Scripted Install - match task drag box with avail tasks
Under Scripted Install:
When you drag avail tasks from the right column to the run tasks on the left column the drag window is to small.
We have several avail post install tasks to the point where you must scroll up while dragging the task at the same time. I remember before that you could just drag any tasks from the right and drop it to the left without scrolling. Can you bring this ability back?
In the attached picture I had to reduce the browser zoom to give you an idea.
3 votesSystem Deployment Appliance 4.1 (SDA/K2000) supports a drag box equivalent to the number of post install tasks available
