Drive Feed Auto Filter/Remove - Search and Destroy
The Drive feed is an excellant resource when creating scripted installs for Dell Machines, but when you try to image off Dell, like HP for example, we need to add all the drivers manually or in a post installation task. The systems blue screen when there are duplicate drivers, it would be excellent if there was like a search and destroy or remove duplicates option, this would help everyone maintain their own driver database for their enterprises systems.

Need Post Installation Tasks to Continue after Reboot
For scripted installations, the post installation needs to be able to continue after a reboot. There are instances (especially with drivers) that you want to restart the computer and then finish running through the post installation tasks. Currently all post installation tasks must run before you can reboot. After the reboot you must switch to use the K1000 for additional tasks.
48 votesREAL-TIME task sequencing engine is now a reality in the upcoming K2000 3.6 release! We’ve entered release candidate phase as of this week at Dell World! If you’re interested in participating in the RC, let me know at alex@kace.com!

Faster PXE boot
I would like to see the PXE environment streamlined so that I get to the menu screen quicker, currently this is the biggest complaint from my techs, that they have to wait too long to be able to select an option and leave the image to complete.
1 voteThis request has been implemented in the SDA (K2) 4.0 release by moving to iPXE and TCP

LDAPS for K2000
Enable LDAPS for K2000 Appliance
1 voteThe K2000 has supported LDAPS as a protocol since 3.0. An existing bug restricting the use of ldaps urls will be fixed in 3.4. Contact support if you need ldaps enabled in any other version.

Add the ability to change the install media for scripted installs
It would be cool if I could change the install media out for my scripted installs w/o rebuilding each depolyment. When microsoft releases service packs ti would be handy to upload the new OS then replace the old version with the new.

KACE Agent in KBE environment
I would like to see some sort of agent that can give feedback to the K2000 as to the status of a job. An example would be percentage complete on a system image, or even a simple indicator that a system has booted in to the KBE environment.
5 votesThe Task Engine sends status messages to the KACE SDA indicating success or failure of task and image deployment.

Make the K2000 Media Manager check for existing KBE name before compiling WinPE
Backstory: We just got a new computer based on an Intel Sandy Bridge CPU and I have to create a new KBE for it. By mistake I uploaded drivers to the windows7x64 folder rather than the kbewindowsx64 folder, then created a new KBE. Of course it didn't work, then I realized my mistake. I then deleted the new KBE, uploaded the drivers where appropriate, and recompiled WinPE. At the end of the process, I got an error message saying the KBE name already exists and to please choose another one.
So firstly -- since I deleted…1 voteThis suggestion was completed in version 6.0.

Higher Drive Capacity
Would like to have the ability to raise the capacity above the 250 GB. Either allow for a second array for slots 3 and 4 or allow the primary drives in slot 1 and 2 to be increased. 250 GB limitation is way too small.

Allow Upload to RSA
Since I would like a way to upload images to a RSA then have them (Or not) replicate back to the master kace. Having to upload a image to the master, then back to the RSA before you can deploy is a unneeded waste of time.
54 votesSDA 5.0 allows you to upload images to the RSA

Ability to schedule a scripted install
I would like to be able to schedule a scripted install for a set of machines on a regular basis (ie. training room pc that needs to be returned to a clean, fresh installed and updated state). Currently, there is no way to schedule a install in this manor.

Add Entire Directories to Images
Ability to not only create a directory as you can now and populate it one file at a time, but actually upload whole directories including their files into system images.
21 votesIn 7.1, this feature request can be accomplished; however, you need to zip up the directory first and then upload the zip file to a WIM image.

Integration with K1000 Database
Direct integration with the K1000 database for machine inventory (and any other useful integration). It seems redundant to have to scan for machines when the K1000 already has all existing systems in the MACHINE table.
