Add a field to the linked appliances list
K2000 Settings - Control Panel - Linked Appliances
Add a singe field to the linked appliance records called "Description". Apart from the hostname (which in many instances is just an IP address) there's no way to identify the various linked appliances.
Thanks!

Select post install tasks from KBE UI
It would be great to have all of the post install tasks listed in the KBE UI so that they can be selected at the time of image deployment. This would be easier than having to remember to edit a deployment before hand or being able to deploy the same image with different post install tasks at the same time.

Disable "capture image" option from RSAs
We should have a option to disable or hide the "capture image" from RSAs. For security reasons, we do not need other RSA locations to create their own images. Plus, since Kace already has issues capturing devices from RSAs (if not linking them by IP address), then the image fails and we're unable to delete the failed image from both the RSA or the SDA. We just recently had this issue and had to submit a ticket for Quest support to fix it via tether.

Better RSA sync scheduling - mimic SMA days/hours
Many of my RSAs are in locations that have VERY limited hours I can use max bandwidth. Why can't there be a calendar setup like the SMA where I can specify what hours of what day of the week sync'ing can occur? I have to manually start/stop sync'ing as there's not enough granularity in scheduling the sync. Why can't we have the low/high bandwidth settings just like the SMA? I spend WEEKS, not hours trying to sync my RSAs.

Highlight KACE Default-Tasks in Library
Per default, several pre-installation, mid-level and post-installation tasks exist on the SDA. When you start adding more tasks, it quickly becomes confusing which tasks belong to KACE and which are self-created.
I think it would be great if they were visually distinguished. At a glance, you would be able to see your tasks and the ones from KACE.6 votes -
Different boot manager password for each RSA
Currently, you can specify a "Boot Manager Password" on the K2000 and it is used on every RSA. I'd like to have different passwords for each RSA. Maybe on the K2000 under Deployments > Remote Sites > (select the RSA) then have a checkbox to override the default "Boot Manager Password" and enter it there.

Verify HDD Space Adequate When Using Media Manager to Create KBE
I ran into an issue when creating a KBE that I didn't have enough local hard drive space. There was no error message or any sort of info to pinpoint that was the problem.
It would be helpful if it could do a preliminary check upon opening or before attempting to create the KBE. Even if it was as simple as "must have at least 5GB free space before continuing."

SDA data visibility outside of appliance
The SMA (K1) has the ability to query and view all kinds of information using SQL, API, and the KACE GO app. I would like to see this same kind of visibility added to the SDA. When imaging a batch of computers, I'm not always able to sit there and make sure everything works. Using my phone to log into the SDA web interface is very cumbersome. Making this information more readily available and easier to access on the go would be a big benefit.

Show estimated time for WIM to be copied from host
I upgraded from version 5 to 7.1.94 this week and imaged for the first time and was surprised and dismayed at the same time. I like the image progression bar addition but before you had an estimated time that it would take for the wim file to be copied from the host. I know roughly how long it takes from imaging many different PC's. The image progression bar sits a 0% the entire time that the wim is copying from the host. having a timer or another progression bar showing the progression/time remaining for copying the wim would be immensely…

enable / disable a post install task from executing
if one has the same post install task in 10 scripted images, be able to enable / disable them all at once. for example, a new post install task needs to be created; however, the implementation date is unknown. I can add the task to the 10 scripted images - at my leisure, then when i need to enable the task - it is one click. Be able to enable / disable a task from executing

It’s interesting to consider the prospect of viewing the details of a PO task and seeing all the deployments to which it’s linked. With that view available, one could execute an action en masse rather than individually.
We will review this request and determine its place within our product backlog.

Driver Feed - automate install into appliance of models in inventory
You guys have an inventory of device "model" for network booted devices. It would be great if there was an option where this information could be used to automatically enable/install Dell Driver Feed drivers into the SDA. With options of drivers for which OS (i.e. I only want windows 10 x64 drivers), and some kind of threshold option (like maybe 3 same model in inventory before auto enabled/installed).
Inversely maybe an additional option to delete drivers when there are 0 of the model/s in the SDA inventory (maybe in a specified period).

These sound very interesting. The retention concept for drivers that aren’t needed sounds great.
We will review these further and determine their place within our product backlog. -
Ability for sysprep creator to run custom powershell files before sysprepping or select custom unattend answer file.
I Like the Sysprep Executor utility as it's fairly intuitive and user friendly when it's being ran prior to a capture, it however has a few barriers preventing me from using it.
- Custom Unattend answer file.
I have a few answer files created manually in WSIM as use a few settings that are not available in the Sysprep Creator menu, would it be possible to add an option to sysprep creator to select an unattend XML file instead of generating one via the menu options?
- Support for custom .bat,.cmd or .ps1 files prior to capture.
I have a script that…

Object History tracking for security auditing
The KACE SDA currently has no way to audit changes made to any imaging-related objects, including:
- KBEs
- System images
- Pre/Mid/Post install tasks
- Task Groups
Coupled with the "all or nothing" approach to permissions in the SDA, this creates an information gap that results in a security concern: how do you know what object or setting change was made, when it was made, and who made it?
Consider the worst case scenario: a disgruntled SDA Admin on their final day at the company adds a malicious script or application to a post-install task.
The risks that come with the current model:

Ability to upload MIG files downloaded from the RSA into the SDA
The USMT profile is currently able to be exported from the RSA and could run a custom task to deploy the MIG file. Would be better if there was an option to import MIG file into SDA to be selected during image deployment from SDA. This would be similar to current process of images captured on the RSA that can be exported - then imported into another RSA or SDA.

Having a git like task repository
several of us are working on deployment tasks. It would be convenient to be able to manage these tasks through a git repository (or other cvs, svn...) in order to be able to follow the changes made by colleagues.

Enhance Scan User States Offline task to work for User Profiles stored on secondary partition
It would be very helpful to have the Scan User States Offline task work for environments where user profiles are stored on another partition (D:\Users for example).
The builtin Scan User States Offline task works only if users are stored in C:\Users. Also, the task is somehow hard coded and receives some parameters passed on from Custom, Scripted, Imaging html files respectively and where it's called. The scanuserstates_offline.wsf references scripts under peinst\hta folder which is read only so customizing this task it's almost impossible.

Basic SNMP configuration...
Basic configuration, such as system location or system contact, for SNMP is not available to the end user. Many SNMP monitoring tools pull this information and map devices using this information. This information can be provided in the /usr/local/etc/snmpd.conf however the end user can not edit this, so options might be to allow this information to be added in the konfig stage of the install or when going into the Security Settings/General Security Settings and putting a check mark in Enable SNMP Monitoring other fields can open (besides SNMP Community String) for syscontact and syslocation. Once saved this information can…
