I am currently doing a work-around by having users submit a ticket requesting the item, then leaving the ticket open until the item is returned. I also have a calendar for each major item that shows the estimated return date, and I maintain a paper log book that shows who has what and when it was returned. I am thinking about setting up an additional ticket queue for loaner items only, but not sure how much it would help.

Yes, I agree. The 0-day patches for items such as Adobe Flash Player, I find take so long to reach my KBOX it is better for me to push it out as a Managed Installation.
A barcoded label, that when scanned goes straight to the corresponding KBOX asset would be awesome!
