Command: "C:\Program Files\Dell\Kace\runkbot 4 0". We use it all the time. Note: this inventories the machine and sends it the server to be placed in queue - if your server is busy with 1000s of other tasks it could take several minutes for the update to appear on your K1000.
Note: for 64bit it's C:\Program Files (x86)\....
You can do this - we used a 1TB HDD on a desktop (win7) and run VMplayer for the RSA using 250GB leaving 700GB (-50GB for OS) for any share you care to set up. We just have to balance site size using a desktop that doesn't have the same I/O processes.
We have some new features planned that include parts of this suggestion. Stay tuned!
We are considering a Windows 10 Universal app but this would be a large effort that would delay all other work on K1 GO for an extended period. As such we are continuing to monitor for demand/adoption before taking this on. Please continue to vote and comment to help drive our decision.
Would love to see this, I run all forms of Windows devices and OSs. WP8.1 is targeting the Enterprise - so should Dell.
This is under consideration but not planned for the next release. Please continue voting if you’d like to see this feature prioritized for a future release.
Have to agree, marketing is misleading. It's been two years, and several upgrades and still no Linux.
Thank you for your input. Offering both 32 and 64 bit clients would double our Windows agent QA testing time and we are sensitive to the impact of extending test times as it impacts our ability to release full-featured updates at our desired pace. A surprisingly large amount of our customers still need 32bit support today. We are going to continue monitoring this closely to determine the best time to drop 32 bit support (of course older versions of the agent would still be available once we moved to 64 bit). In the meantime, it would be helpful to know specifically what difficulties a 32bit client is causing so we might consider work-arounds in parallel with the 64bit only decision.
