This has not been completed. The current implementation in SMA 9.0.270 is for "Application Control" which blacklists an application from being run. This request was for UNINSTALLING of specific software. I voted for this because I need software uninstalled.
Thank you for your very thorough desciption of the issue. We will consider this as a feature request in the future. We prioritize based on feedback like yours – so we encourage others to vote for this feature request.
This is a big issue for us and getting bigger as we roll out more laptops. We used to have inventories at 1hr to combat this issue but that broke everything else in KACE so we are now at a 6hr inventory this issue has only gotten worse. I don't know how crucial a full check in is, but an updated IP on connection would be fantastic.
Why is every scheduler in KACE different? From WOL to scripting to patching, they are all different. Why don't all of them have the same set up? Currently patching has the most options for scheduling when something runs, they should all be the same as that.
This would be fantastic and would consolidate the number of WOL tasks I have by 75% and reduce the number of shutdown tasks I have as well.
Thank you for your request. We are publishing information in a Knowledge Base article as Microsoft’s updates/patching practices evolve:
I agree with everything that is stated here. However my votes are cast here:
This is under consideration but not planned for the next release, Please continue voting if you’d like to see this feature prioritized for a future release.
The KACE Cloud MDM product added the ability to “Factory Reset” Mac (only) devices in August, 2019. We will continue to work towards this for Windows in 2020. KACE Cloud MDM is seamlessly integrated with KACE SMA.
