    Volunteers needed!
We are planning on providing a way to update Linux – initially not patch management like with Windows per se – and then adding more functionality as appropriate. If you would like to volunteer to give input on User Experience and other aspects as we plan futher, we would love to hear from you. Please contact us via email:

i would like the ability to see show if a device is pending a reboot with action item to reboot the machine. install pending patches/on demand patching. Ondemand patching would be for servers, if the patches could be prepopulated, the server admin could click install now. List software available to install from the user portal or managed installations(minus licensed software) .I think the biggest benefit would be the ability to activate a script for like Windows 10 build updates. Currently, we sync the iso to the machine and then have to reach out to users to schedule a time update Windows 10, Update process takes 2hrs and we have 70k devices that have to be updated once a year because we are using Pro instead of Enterprise. i am thinking, the alert would notify that a package deployment is required. the user can either run now or schedule a time to perform the task.

or provide the full active directory location, this would give us the ability to determine if the devices should or should not have KACE installed based on certain OUS.

We are excited to announce that version 11.0 of the KACE Systems Management Appliance (SMA) is almost ready for the Beta/Release Candidate program. This release will contain the feature you requested. If you are interested in participating in the Beta/Release Candidate program, please send an email to the Beta Team with “Staged patches” in the subject to:

This would be a great feature for remote users, the devices would download the patches and install at a specified time even if they are not connected the vpn/network. this would greatly increase the compliance. Also prestaging could occur over the weekend and patches to deploy on tuesday. this would have to be a static deployment label, it would need to check if anything changed prior to the deployment, but it should reduce the overall patching process for change management.

We’re looking at this after we get more K1000 synchronization built into the K2000.

this would require ondemand patching from the k1000, which is a feature I have requested as well.
