any more word on when this is going to happen?
This is under consideration but not planned for the next release, Please continue voting if you’d like to see this feature prioritized for a future release.
The Self Service Portal def needs more work and more branding options, grouping options, better over all way to customize, manage and organize it. Its easily one of the best features of the Kace for us and i keep looking for improvements every patch cycle and end up becoming disappointed when nothing really changes.
Thank you Troy I will also cast my votes there.
Also this screws Techs and admins, we used the portal as a way to install our software but now with this stupid feature we no longer can because it relys on what computers the user logging into the portal has logged into. Seriously this feature is terrible please please please remove it.
Also I don't have the time to sit there and manually add Primary Devices to 800 employees. I mean seriously who thought this feature was helpful?
Our thoughts on this feature are evolving. The ability to construct a floor map, plot different objects (people, printers, fire extinguisher, etc) and have links back into the asset management module are all concepts we are starting to think through. This will be a longer term deliverable but please continue providing your feedback.
